Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you Charlene.

Justin, TX

Charlene, if you have any of those beautiful coxcombs to share, I would be delighted to have one. I don't have much to trade, my garden is having a time with this weather. I will bring what will survive. Hopefully my Dat. seedlings will survive. I have a couple that have sprouted. I'll have to see what happens this week. Iknow I will have Irises. These are virtually indestructible. I have extra seeds that I can bring for vegetable gardening. maybe some one would be interested in those as well. ( corn, beans, spinach, lettuce, cucs,)

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Lorilea, I will add you to the list. Don't worry about what to bring.
Charlene

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

I have 2 Salvia nemarosa (May Knight) to give away.

Carla

Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

may have available (will know for certain later);

Firespike OK, the FS is still dormant, I dunno if I will have any rooted in time. I will of course update it that changes.

****** UPDATE! I can bring FS cuttings, no time to root anything. Charlene (charlenesplants) and Jennifer (jenepat) will get them. ******

*******Update to the Update! The FS is just not growing fast enough to get survivable cuttings. If the RU were a little later this month MAYBE it would work. Best would be for to take cutting from branches and that probably wouldn't be til May! My apologies to jenepat and charlenesplants - no FS from me this year.*******

White regular plumeria 'sticks' - this seems easily do-able

Will likely have a very few vegetables started including 1 or 2 Star & Moon watermelon starts.

may want;

***** UPDATE would like to have a RED passiflora vine

and basil (Sweet genovese or ? - for the herb garden)

Turks Cap ******(from Josephine (frostweed) I think)******

?????

see everyone on Sunday

Yea! Thanks Carl!! Let me know if anything on my list interests you.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Can't wait for Sunday!

Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

******Yea! Thanks Carl!! Let me know if anything on my list interests you.******

The FS is just poking it's head up with shoots, I hope they will root for you. I've only done it twice before and had about 75% success with rooting in potting soil. Dunno about water or perlite or other techniques.

Carl

North Richland Hills, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks Carl - do you use a rooting hormone when you've done it in potting soil? I've haven't rooted many things before either (besides coleus & beefsteak plant - and those are super easy!).

Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

never tried the rh powder either. That would probably help huh?

lol!

I just pull off all but the newest 2 leaves and try not to overwater it. You want the cutting to reach out with tiny roots before it rots(from too much water) or dries out(transpiring trhough too many leaves).

Carl

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

banana18
I have lemon grass if you still want some, I could use black nerve daisy and/or four nerve daisy.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

I have one of Carl's rooted firespikes. Bloomed very nicely for me last fall, and it's up this year too.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

DATURA12 I can give you one of each for lemongrass! Now I will have no excuse for trying some Thai recipes.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

bump.... 5 days to go!

Carrollton, TX(Zone 8a)

I can't wait for Sunday! I've had a lot of fun reading the thread and imagining what I'll be able to pot up next year once this little piece of Earth gets going. I've been trying to search PlantFiles every time someone mentions a plant I don't know, but I am still playing catch-up. I'm headed to the coffee shop this afternoon to collect some grounds for you all. I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone! Take care and travel safely this weekend-

GreenerBeaner

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

We are looking forward to meeting you also.
Josephine.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

banana - OK on the trade with me. See you there. I se I wrote back nerve daisy...DUH! instead of blackfoot daisy.LOL

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

txlizzy, I just saw your post to me that you want elephant ears and coreopsis. Yes you can have them, I checked your trade list and some of the pics looked familiar, no wonder, they had my name on them. LOL I didn't see anything off hand but you say your list is incomplete so I will wait and see what you bring. I am in need of some English Ivy, smaller than 3 inch, Rue, mouse eared tickseed, spirea, and let me see what the others have and I will see if you have any.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Peg.....Please let me bring you the Mouse Eared Tickseed. I would like one of your Rock Rose.

I would love it if anyone has any zebrina hollyhock to share. Mine doesn't seem to be coming up. I have heard others in this zone say they are up, so I think mine must be taking a leave of absence.
Thank you,
Charlene

I have some seedlings that I can share Charlene. It was one of the sucessful winter sowing items I had. Just checked them this morning.

Does anyone have a Black Cherry or a Black Dahlia? Those are two butterfly host plants I don't have.

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Thank you Sheila, I wish I could help you with your wish items now.
Charlene

Trenton(close to), TX(Zone 8a)

DATURA12 did you say you wanted spirea? I think what I have is Spirea van Houttei. I have small plants from last fall that have already bloomed ready to go. Here is mother. Is this the spirea what you want?

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Sheila, do you want rock roses? I haven't had a lot of luck transplanting seedlings, so I'm bringing Charlene some seeds this time. I can bring some for you too. I don't think you have to do anything to them except toss them out--they seem to seed pretty prolifically, so they probably germinate easily.

I'm also willing to try transplanting seedlings again, if you would rather have those. That goes for you too, Charlene. They might do better in April than they did in June.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

DATURA, I didn't even notice the "new species" Funny how the brain reads.
Looking forward to seeing and meeting you all.
GreenerBeaner make sure you come visit me. I love those coffee grounds. I have trouble getting them at my neighborhood SB.
Sheila, I remember Dennis trying unsuccessfully trying to root black dalea, so I didn't even think to try.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks Anna, and Pattie. Just wishful thinking on the dalea. As for the Rock Rose, Peg is posting two sizes. I have seeds already, but thanks.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Sheila, yes to the Rock Rosefor Tickseed

Wildcatthicket, it looks like spirea, also called bridal wreath. It should be in bloom now and smells like honey?

Trenton(close to), TX(Zone 8a)

It is blooming. I posted the pic of it, 12 feet wide, 8 feet tall. Didn't you say you wanted spirea a couple of posts above? If not, I will go back to sleep.

Dallas, TX

Omg Stephanie! Its Oenothera, the only thing I have ever grown from seed. I bought the seeds from T&M. this was back in the day ... when I tried to grow seeds and utterly failed at it. This plant even bloomed for me and had big yellow flowers. ... and I remember the pink ones growing on the side of the road. Actually there are fields of the pink ones growing out back right now.

Justin, TX

Thank you Charlene, I will bring all I can. I have always loved the cox combs.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

wildcat thicket ~yes to the bridal wreath, just one will do. Let me know what you want in trade.

Trenton(close to), TX(Zone 8a)

datura12 could I have a Red Hot Poker? I don't think I have ever seen one.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

wildcatthicket here is a pic, yes on the trade they are in 1 gal. pots. See you there
