can this flap jack be cut up at each root section?

northwest, IL(Zone 5a)

This fell over in the pot and has formed tiny roots all along the stem. In the summer it is going back out in the garden- out of this pot.
I'm curious if I could grow more faster by cutting these apart , like cutting cookies off a roll of dough and planting them?
If so would I plant them standing on end or flat to the soil. Would root hormone help? Would I want them to callous a few days first?

My first and only flap jack- so advice is nice...
thx!

What is a flap jack?

I think if you pull the leaf off with a small piece of the stem then you can root it fairly quick (I think I read that somewhere). Flapjack = Kalanchoe thyrsiflora.

Here is another form of kalanchoe that roots at the serrations of the leaf.

I had heard that about the leaves.
I was wondering about the stem where all the leaves are missing...

You could cut the stem and lay it horizontally to generate new plants if you want to try that. Let the cut callous over before putting it in sand or perlite. A lot of experts for this type of plant are in the cactus and succulent forum.

Ok, thx!
Sounds like the way to root an elephant ear when the trunk( stem) gets too long.

Hi: I would think if you made sure there is one good eye or node to grow a stem from it should be able to grow several from your rooted cane.
