Posted this already but then thought...might be a cute idea for a thread...
Here's Chloe with Gita's Maya brug bloom (excuse the horrible lighting)
Babies and blooms
Oh my - I just fell in love...all over again :-)
Yepper...them are purdy flowers ain't they? That messy face is lookin' rather cutie patootie too!!!
LOL - well it was the face I was ref to ^_^
Chloe is absolutely precious! When she smelled the Brug, did she get pollen all over her face & nose?
Yuph, Jasmine is starting to bloom too and the smell is intoxicating!
LOL - I don't think she got her face in that far...least not that I noticed...sheesh, such an observant Meeme, I am...not!
What jasmines do you have blooming, Shirley?
She is such a doll. I'm sure when she's older she'll fuss about those curls but they sure are adorable.
This is my niece Erica Rose. Although the picture was taken about 8 years ago, I remember it like it was yesterday. She was just on the verge of talking, and on that particular day she said her very first real words - incessantly repeating Abby, Abby, Aaaaby as she followed (or should I say chased) my parent's sweet tempered American Eskimo around my yard. Erica is now a beautiful 9 year old and although I have many pictures of her in the garden, this one was always one of my favorites. Terri
OMG what a gorgeous princess she is...LOOK at those eyes - so sweet!!
She looks just like my sister did at that age - especially those dark eyes :-)
Chantell, I have Night Blooming Jasmine with its heady fragrance. The smell permeates the whole room!
Terri, your niece Erica Rose is precious!
LOVE that NBJ....MMMmmm HHHmmm
That's an adorable photo, Terri. What a beautiful little girl.
LOL, Chantell, couldn't Chloe get any closer? You certainly have knack of catching these priceless moments :)
Terri, love the photo of your niece, her eyes remind me of my oldest son, Caleb. His eyes were so dark when he was young, almost black, it was like he was looking right through you :)
Hi Everyone,
Don't babies and brugs (and all kinds of flowers) make the best pictures!! This is my grandson 2 years ago. He was 2 months old here and is the youngest of my 7 grandsons, but I consider all of them my precious little boys (even the 18 year old).
I will be watching for more little darlings like Chloe and Erica Rose.
Regards,
Teri
Teri - what a handsome little guy and LOOK at all that hair...mercy!!! What a cutie-patootie!!!
Debbie - please don't give me credit for "catching" her...I put the plant by her (with camera already in hand) and say "OOhhh Chloe - smell THAT one" She does the rest...LOL
Oh they are so sweet,
Terri, Your parent's dog looks like it can't wait to get back to playing. That is a great picture.
Chantell could you please come over to Sally's "personal thread" for a minute? LOL I have a Pigs ears question.

This is a couple of years old Lily is getting ready to turn two this week.
It's my favorite Lily bloom.

Moi? The pigs ear murderer...you sure about that?
OHHHHH myyy I want one of those lilies...just on loan though...if THAT is not a perfect photo I don't know what is!!!!!!!!!!
This year I've started the massive project of doing something with decades worth of photographs. With the new trend of "scrapbooking" concepts and all the innovations for digital photo editing, I'm putting together themed type digital albums vs the straightforward chronological hard copy albums that I've done in the past. Chantell, this thread topic of yours for babies and blooms is a wonderful album idea. I've spent most of this afternoon and evening finding photographs that fit with this theme, and it is turning into the best one yet. I can't wait to share the final results with my family.
Teri and Holly, the photos of your grandbabies are precious! I'll post a few more of my family favorites. Here is another one of Erica Rose, taken when she was 4. She is wearing the Easter dress I got for her, and was SOooo proud of the pretty socks she found to wear with it LOL
This one is of my nephew Ryan (Erica's big brother). I can't believe he is almost 14 now! In this picture he was an adorable 2 year old. I know he'll get a kick out of this - he considers himself too grown up to be referred to as "adorable" by his Aunt Terri - now if it was a cute teenage girl saying it, it would be a different story LOL. I had forgotten how pretty that clematis combination looked. Over the years, it has kind of pooped out. I'll have to find a way to either rejuvenate the old vines or maybe just replace with new ones. Maybe I'll head over to the clematis forum to see if there is any info about longevity... Terri
OMG...could they get ANY cuter!!! And those socks? They're perfect!!!
These pictures are just too cute! Terri, you made me think about some old photos I have :) Now I've got to find them and get them scanned to add to my children's scrapbooks! This one of my old photos of my daughter Emily. The color isn't very good - her father's fishing hat is actually green, matched her green pack boots! What memories...she's 27 now :)
As soon as they grow old enough, they are required to do yard work before we take them to swim or do some other fun stuff later in the day.
This one is 5 years old. He refused to stop weeding and move away long enough for the mowing to continue, so we had to wait until he was finished. Fine with me!!
Debbie, that is a great picture. Isn't this topic fun - so many memories! Now that I'm looking, I'm even finding ones of my mother as a baby/toddler and me and my siblings at that age too. The themed album I'm putting together is going to have photos of multi generations (4 so far). I've still got little ones about - a young nephew and another one on the way, 2 great nieces and 6 great nephews. I'm really lucky that most of them live so close by. I'll be more attentive to getting photos of them with blooms. Michaela, my 6 month old great niece is here for the weekend - too bad nothing is blooming in my yard yet :( She is usually here every other weekend, so lots of photo ops coming up...
OMG don't you just love pics of baby's in hats?!?!? Such a sweetie!
RRR - what a handsome guy...please feel free to send him to my yard...anytime
These are such adorable pics. Sent me running for my old pictures. I'll have to scan a few.
NO Babies--but I will stay here with this Thread.....
Here is one of my cuttings of the Rose Souvelons Brug--also having thrown a bud and--I expect--in a day or two--will be in full bloom!
Believe me! I am as "blown away" by this as you are! never have seen this before!
Maybe I just did not take the right cuttings from the right places????
Will follow up as it opens....
Gita
My daughter stopped over for the weekend. I showed her some threads on DG and this one was definitely her favorite. I think that all the curls on Chloe, the beautiful outfit on lily, and all the other precious little girl pictures definitely get the attention of a family that has 7 grandsons (no girls).
Ahhh Debbie how adorably sweet is THAT face?!?!? Funny you should mention the watering. Christine told me that Chloe was taking her "tea cups" - filling them with water from the dogs' bowl - climbing up on the love seat and leaning over (I keep my plants "safe" by barricading them behind the furniture) and "watering" them with what was left in the cup. I so wish I had a pic of her doing this - but how smart to figure that out...thank God she didn't head for the toilet...LOL. Sooo, is dog slobber good for plants? ^_^ I have a photo to share at lunch time once I upload it...ya'll will love it...or humor me lie and say you do any way...ROTFLOL
Can't wait to take kids and flower gardens THIS year. So far we have just a few bulbs peeking thru, but everything is still pretty colorless.
This one is from last year. I having been having fun looking thru the pictures since this thread started. James was allowed to pick flowers from this wildflower garden and take some to Mommy. He was pretty good about staying out of the rose gardens and the more precious flower gardens.
When I was a kid I would watch Shirley Temple movies and wish that I had that hair.
Andi - haven't see you in forever - how are you?!?!?
RRR - gracious what a handsome little guy with that dark hair!!
Ok...so DD was out w/Chloe and apparently Chloe started frantically yelling "baby, baby, baby" DD was confused, finally said "Chloe show me." Chloe took her over to a seed rack and pointed at the packets. How funny is that. I'd told her when I was planting Daturas and Brugs that they were baby plants. Soooo Chloe apparently was quite set on getting some "babies" for herself (I mean I'm sure I have NO seeds....right? NOT!) Any way...broke out the window sill greenhouse out we planted the "babies" - gonna work on her aim next year...LOL
Chloe is so precious! It's great that you've started to teach her all about growing seeds! She'll love it once the seeds germinates and she can see the green shoots growing.
Thank you Shirley...I know - every night she pulls me over and says "Babys???" I show her and say...we've got to wait a bit. Hindsight states I should've put sunflowers in there...oh well...the stock DD picked out will smell purdy!!
Chloe sure is a cutie pie! Terri
Thank you, Terri - I love her to bits!!
