Chat room - final call

It's been many hours since there's been any discussion in the chatroom, and I'm thinking that life is starting to return to normal, and folks are getting back to their normal day.

Do we still need the support that the chatroom was providing, or are we ready to stick to the forums for our communicating needs.

In other words, are we ready to take the chatroom down until the next time we need/want it?

Can't we leave it open all the time again. It was nice when it was there. Is it to much work for you or was it because it was abused before.

Dave I think it was great you opened it in the time of need but I think we all are trying to get back to normal routine. Has Trish and Susie got back yet? Will Chat be up tomorrow night as usual? Thanks for always being there for us.

Thanks for the comments. The chat will definitely be open tomorrow night, starting around 7:00pm.

It's still up right now, but I'll be taking it down around 9pm tonight.

trailingon: The chatroom cannot be open 24/7, due to abuses earlier this year. The decision was made to take the chatroom down, and now we occasionally have weekly (monitored) chats.

Now I know why I wasn't able to get in chat room. You where in process of closing it for the day. Thought maybe I had done one Big boo-boo or something. Dave, I do thank you very much for having it open yesterday and today. It had really helped, me anyways. Really appreciated it very much.

Thanks, CoCo. The chatroom helped a lot of people who were alone during the day yesterday, including myself. I was happy to have the chatroom facilities at my disposal, and am grateful for whoever it was that suggested I put it up in the first place.

Trish is on her way home now. She left around noon today, and I expect her back tonight around midnight. She'll probably post in the morning about her return. If not, I will.

Thanks Dave for letting us know we where worried about them.I know you have been really worried and hope the chat helped you as much as it did us and wanted to let you know we are here for you as much as you are here for us.

Thanks for opening it yesterday Dave. It was like having lots of old freinds to console me, and vise versa. I was alone all day. I bawled my eyes out, after I walked my kids into their classes.Came home to check the computer and it was a comforting surprise.Hope we made you feel better too.Thankyou for your patriotic statement on the DG Home page. I have been steering clear of certain places because I could not handle any negative comments towards our people. I love my country dearly. Say what you want about politics, we did not deserve this in anyway.
Glad Trish is coming home. You all are in my prayers.
