WOW! Episcia Showtime is gorgeous! Perfect name for that one!
Chirita Kazu blooms opened a couple of days ago.I had to take it outside in good light to get a picture. For some reason my photo's come out very dark inside, even when the flash goes off. I thought maybe the batteries needed charging, but they are fully charged. It could have something to do with me dropping the camera on the cement pool deck, not once but twice and then on the cement driveway again!
(You can see I still haven't re-potted her!)
Goldleaf, that Showtime is awesome.
Lin, kazu is really cute. I have one and I'm waiting for it to bloom. No buds yet though. Your tamiana looks like a violet. Is it planted in a glass with no drainage? Or is there another pot in there. It is very attractive. I have a few of those that were candle holders sitting in the closet. My kids saw one candle in my house and thougt I collected them. Every holiday they send another one. LOL. DH doesn't like candles lit in the house. Goes back to when he was young and family next door to them had fire. Same old story, no money for electric bill, so they used candles. Set their house on fire and they lost children and pets. It left a memorable impression on him. I like them, but don't lite them.
Hi Eileen, Yes that tamiana is planted in a candle holder, no drainage. I put teeny craft gravel in the bottom, then add the soil and plant. I have a couple of micro mini sinningia's planted in glass like that too.
I love candel's too but never light them because we have cats that like to climb around and jump up on tables! I am like your DH, I'm so afraid of fire!
Here's a close up of the tamiana, you can see the gravel in the bottom.
Thanks Lin. Now I know what to do with all those glass candle holders. I'll try with one plant first. It I don't kill it, I'll plant some more. ^_^
The only drawback to growing in any container without drainage is the watering ... must be very careful not to drown the plants. I do well with growing like that because I don't remember to water very often!
Goldleaf,
Showtimes bloom is awesome!
Lin,
I love that little tiny Chirita. The little Sinns. look really cute in brandy snifters and stemmed glasses, too.
Lynn

Wow everyone! Loving a new March thread with the episcia 'Showtime'. I have never even seen that one and what an unusual and pretty bloom.
Keep all the beauties coming. I love pics and so does everyone else. Jan, I love that orange looking african violet.
Let me find some pics to share.
I would love to get my hands on Weismoore seed as I haven't seen a Weismoore color that is ugly and the blooms are so large.
WOW! Wonderful blooms everyone!
gessiegail,
Those are luscious! I have Wiesmoor (?) seeds coming...if they ever get here. I'd be happy to pass some on to you if you'd like. I"m not sure how many are in the pack but I'm sure there will be a few to spare :)

Does anyone have the Fc2 description for Buckeye Colossal? That single bloom has me a little worried. In the meantime...a couple more pics. Dunno if I posted these 2 before, but both just get more beautiful each day, it's like getting a new plant. They are continuous great performers.
