Bill and I invited CJ from a thread on the Japanese Maples forum. So please join me in giving her a big Texas-style Northeast Forum welcome!!
(She thinks she might not understand us but I still don't understand you New Englanders! As I have said, all non-NYers sound funny to me)
Welcome to a great Texas lady - ceejaytown!
Hi CJ! Welcome to the nutty side!!! lol
hope you will feel right at home with all of us
welcome
mona
Hi, CJ, and welcome! I'm thinking of moving to Gatesville, TX, which is near Waco and is in zone 8a. Could I grow JM's there?
Karen
yes but they would still die back in the winter except for the one that are perennials they would just die to the ground and they pop right back when it warms up but you could grow so many more plants I would love to live in a zone 8
i swear I will some day
Yeah, I look forward to living in zone 8.
Karen
I have only 8 more years till the youngest goes to post secondary education and then I go south for six months every winter YES
Hello and welcome from NJ.... CJ
one of my dear friends has a daughter named CJ... short for Charlie Jo
Hi CJ, hope to see you around the forum!
hi again CJ
btw i am a cowboys fan if it helps
Hasn't helped recently.^_^
Glad you can join in here. We're a lively bunch!
Welcome CJ. I'm gonna be a southern snowbird so you have lots to teach me ^_^ Um ps. I spell funny but Wha is weirder than me.
I'll second that! At first glance, I thought you wrote 'I smell funny'.
Maybe that too (snicker).
You all are just way to much for me!! Gracious! I'm blushing.
BTW, I live in zone 9a, which is even better than zone 8. ;-)
Used to be a big Cowboys fan, but Roger Staubach doesn't play anymore. grin
I don't know much about J maples. This is my first ever. Do they die back to the ground up there?
I took a 10 day cruise last October from Montreal to NYC, and I loved it. It was absolutely beautiful and I just about froze my behind off! But, other than that....And yes, I heart NYC!
I gotta go take some witty pills to keep up with you folks! Can you tell I'm blabbering?
the question is mmmm well do you ????hahhahhahaha
victor hahahah do you smell funny hahahahha

Hee hee - welcome again CJ! The maples lose their leaves but the wood remains alive. Most provide some fantastic fall color.
Glad you liked NYC - that's where I grew up. No end of stuff to do.
lol
Hi ceejay. Welcome aboard.
Dave

Hi CJ welcome.
Welcome CJ!!! these are a great group of people to hang out with!!
Welcome CJ...I'm sure you will enjoy hangin' in our neck of the woods!
Welcome CJ!! I've never been to Texas, but I want to! I'll get there one day. What does your garden look like?
Harper
CJ - please tell us what you grow and share any photos of your garden.
dnut - do i resemble that statement about my typing skills? if i were you i would not change a thing about that hair - people pay a lot of money for that at conehead headquarters
cj - roger is one of the players that solidified my support - i have his jersey - romo is killing me with his smiling
and it is not that could here that everything dies to the ground :)
Hiya, CJ!!
I loved Texas .... at least for the two days it took me to drive across it! One of these days I'll get to go back and LOOK at the place.
You're gonna love us, as we kinda 'grow' on you.
Welcome to the wild, wild north(east) from me and the cats.
Welcome CJ---I've never been to Texas, but the birding sounds terrific. Zone 8 sounds pretty good about now, also!
Hi CJ! If you have trouble understanding Victor's "northern speak", just dmail me for some "southern girl" assistance. I'm a transplant to beautiful New England, but we're in Florida for the winter where I'm brushing up on my southern accent. This is the just the best place to meet some super people!!! We're glad you have joined us (and be careful of Victor.......he speaks to us all from a prison cell.......long story....you really don't want to know the details!!) LOL
I got my seeds today I am thrilled cant wait to plant then
lots of babies to come
Welcome CJ from sunny , warm Northeastern Florida. The crazy people on this forum allow this native Floridian on here. I have been to Texas and nearly frozen-next time I will not go when it is a record breaking winter.
