Rainfall totals so far March 11th - 14th... cry or cheer?

Deep East Texas, TX(Zone 8a)

Not meaning to be ungrateful but I am crying UNCLE! Just dumped 4.75 inches of rain and it is showing no sign of letting up. Raining soundly. The ponds runneth over...

We need more here. What we got is only a fraction of what we need because we're so far into the drought.

I agree LouC.

Deep East Texas, TX(Zone 8a)

I know that to be true Linda and only wish when we are innundated with rain that I could share with you and others in need.

LouC, I am grateful for the rain but wonder what the Lord is trying to tell us when we stay too dry for too long and then get swamped. In March of 2008, this area rec'd 18 inches in 12 hours... the damage rec'd was grim! And then, all that water disappeared leaving us bereft for the summer.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Christi are you singing in the rain again??? LOL! I do appreciate the rain, but if I could just get a break for a day or two.

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

hahahahah!!! That I am, Sheila. Don't know how to answer that question, Kristi. His Will is not one I will ever understand.

Definitely warmer here today--its 57F--and we've had a total of 2.5" so far and its still raining, lightly. While I would like to be outside working as much as anyone, I'll gladly give up another day for the rain (we haven't seen anything worth mentioning since before Christmas--unusual for us) and my self interests. At least now the market growers and the ranchers might have a fighting chance of making a living this year.

Kendalia, TX

Deb, you got only a little less than we did at Kendalia. It is also raining a little here, off and on. Sunshine tomorrow.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

We're warmer today, but no sunshine. Where is my sun?!?

NE Medina Co., TX(Zone 8a)

It's been peeking out just off and on the last half hour here! Great to see it!
