New baby Jacob ewe lambs

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

:O THUD

Clarkson, KY

Alas, alack--only buffalo, elk, and goat here. I'll defer to Cats on that genetics one as I can only pronounce those words, not use them...

The iffects were purrfect...

Sue, RI(Zone 6a)

Goodness Gracious Claire, I forgot to tell you have beautiful your newest additions are! Smacking myself w/ wet noodles as punishment!!
I've seen pics of the Jacob sheep in my sheep book but have never seen one in person. They are beautiful!
You know you're going to have knit everyone here some wool socks for next winter, don't you! Or at least have a drawing to see who gets a pair! :-)

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

ohhh woolies!!!! I am in!!!! hehehe :D

Sapello, NM(Zone 5b)

Wool socks, wool socks, wool socks.... {{{clap, clap, clap}}}

Ferndale, WA

Sewing Circle: WOW!!! What a knock out. She's all and more than I have boasted about. But most of all she is honest, humble, and she puts up with all my devious ways. Thank you Jeanmarie for making an old great-uncle so happy to see how truly beautiful you are inside and out. Your the BEST. Love the pic's. The birds are great, but I hardly noticed. IT WORKED.

Thanks to all my friends for insisting on pic's. YOU GUY"S ROCK. Haystack

Biggs, KY(Zone 6a)

Count me in for the socks and gloves. My feet and hands stay cold.

Sapello, NM(Zone 5b)

Hay... You have those cute little dimples too? Still waitin' for YER pic...
LOL

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

They say...cold hands warm heart Cajun!!
Thank you Great Uncle Hay. (blushing) You all make me feel warm and fuzzy. (I still want woolies) hehehe

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

OK, looks like I have some knitting to do. Seriously though, I am only just starting to learn how to knit, so it'll be a while. I did make a cute little crochet basket on the weekend. It started out as a hat. It didn't quite go right, so I made it into a basket.

The troubles of being a new crocheter....hats become baskets unexpectedly!

How cute!!! I love to crochet. I am not as good at knitting but I can knit a straight line. I am in a spring Granny Square swap now. Its fun. I like your basket. You could bend the truth and say you meant for it to be a basket. ;) But of course we now already know the truth. hehehe

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Touque and mittens for me please and thanks Dr. Doolittle

Sue, RI(Zone 6a)

Love the basket! The color makes your eggs pop.
My mom crocheted, did needlepoint and knitted but due to her illness she wasn't able to show me how. I love items that are homemade, it makes me think of her. :-)

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Thanks all - I like the fun boucle yarns because they don't show the errors as much. I think sometime (she said, with some trepidation) that I might try adding little beads onto a basket and see how that looks.

I bought two books: "Teach Yourself Visually: Knitting" and "Teach Yourself Visually: Crochet" and that is how I am learning. You could try those Sue - they are easy to follow!

Dahlianut....will you be wanting a knitted cover for your waterwing?

Biggs, KY(Zone 6a)

You could put the basket on your head and use the handle for a chin strap. It would be lots nicer that the black ones the queen's guards wear.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Wow.. I am so far behind in this thread.. but I am so amazed at how beautiful you are Jeanmarie! Perfect lil doll face.. and hair! LOL Claire said it best. :)
I'm glad Haystack got to see you!

MEE TOO!!!! Whoa!

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Cajun - good idea, except that my head is slightly larger than an orange, which is why I do not think it would fit. :-)

Biggs, KY(Zone 6a)

I guess that would present a bit of a problem. And I don't know any head shrinkers right off hand.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Drat! I guess I will have to make a bigger one then! LOL!

Biggs, KY(Zone 6a)

Guess it can't be helped. Now, if we lived it Hatti.....

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

ROTFL.....please no voodoo! Tee hee hee!

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Who doo voodoo? hehehe I think it would be easier to make a bigger hat. LOL

Biggs, KY(Zone 6a)

I no do voo doo, do u?

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Thank you everso but no thank you for a waterwing warmer Dr. Claire. It was the hot oven that blew the other one up :( so I don't think waterwings like heat.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Do the voo baby!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

I'm not keen on voodoo cuz I'm not crazy about zombies. They are messy with body parts dropping off here and there and they are smelly. That's just my personal opinion of course and is no way meant to be derogatory to zombies who I'm sure are perfectly luvly peoples (except for the falling apart and smelly thing :x)

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Oh Dahlianut, you just made me snort Cabernet Sauvignon on my keyboard. Silly girl. The thing with the zombies is they have a tendency to frighten me when they wake me up in the middle of the night needing a glass of water or a cookie. I mean really, they can't sleep, so what does one expect. Oh, the llamas don't like them at all though.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Sorry dear Claire about the snort/keybord incident. What a koinkidink. I'm enjoying a very refreshing Merlot at the moment ^_^

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Ah, isn't that the best way to enjoy a Friday evening?!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Tis truly dear Claire. All in prep for seeding and exploring the garden tomorrow. We're having a melt down so there is GREEN out there ^_^

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

FAB! I am going to a wet felting workshop tomorrow, and then having a haircut. After that, I might see what needs doing out of doors...

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Sweet!! I have a glass of Blush. And yes, its a lovely Friday night.
I have all my seeds started. Its a good day. :D

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Ah, that's one thing I have to do this weekend, - ORDER seeds. I am soooo behind!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

I still have the cascade in the seed fridge. Too early for alot of annuals for me but not for tomatos and basils.... and moving the perennial babies out to the greenhouse ....and potting of the dahlias... and twirling... and great jubulational singing and dancing.... and of course I will be wearing my red sation pjs. Of course I'm not at all excited about my weekend plans.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Well, you've been a tad busy with about 100 feathery critters. LOL Its really not late. I just started a bit early. We could get snow still.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

I don't remember a pic of the red satin pjs

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Tomorrow a pic if I can find an official photographer and if I'm not swamped with fans. My senior neighbours just luv me wandering around the garden (and the neighbourhood) in my pjs which is my regulation garden attire. Tartan flannels for spring and fall, red satin for summer. I think the 'Showing of the Green' is an exception for tomorrow and red satin is in order. Of course my true luv will be mortified.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Tee hee! He could be the photographer!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

He usually is and will be tomorrow. I just asked. He rolled his eyes but said 'ok' ^_^ I just luv when a plan comes together ^_^

Clarkson, KY

LOL, ladies!! Watched Victor Borge tonight, crying and thinking of my P&L buddies all the while! I may snort Muscadine in your honor as it suits my plebeian tastes...
