Spring in my garden

March 5th. Beautiful morning and the pictures I took while pruning my roses and lace leaf maple.

Ivory Prince must be one of the most beautiful hellebore. Even the leaves are pretty.

The lefthand corner or my courtyard. I'm planting six of my new hellebores here and pruned the shrub rose.

The righthand corner where I pruned more roses and a hardy fuchsia. It is alive!

As I was working these opened up.

And the lace leaf after pruning. My goal with this is to prune out from the underneath so it grows taller and above the pond instead of hiding it.

My girls really enjoyed a day in the sun. I left the gate open and they ran out. Scared me! I called their names and they came running. Good to know they do that.

I dug up some hostas today to get starts for Kaleem, Tils and the plant sale. They are not to far from the surface.

The courtyard is very nice - it's good to have perspective from your previous pictures.

I so love those beautiful crocus.

Yay!! Next tour getting ready top go! You can do it anyway you please. Now and later photos. Now and before photos. Once you get going, you'll have fun. Summer madness in a few months would be great to see. I'll dream about that idea tonight and ignore the frosty weather.

Willow I also have a small garden and sometimes I wish I had more space like Laurie - but then I would have to take care of it! It looks like spring is arriving in your garden!

Willow, Very pretty pics...makes me dream of warmer weather...even 50's would be acceptable at this point. It is nice to see blooms in the gardens of others as I am lagging a little behind in mine! Would love to see more pics, especially of the courtyard in color!

Okay March 26 and another beautiful day. Long time since the last one. I have taken pictures around the house and will start this short garden tour.

And on the right, out from the house, a view up the cart path. We put this in when we owned the lot next door. When we sold it, most of it was on the other property, but the whole neighborhood uses it.
