I'm not to good at growing AV's but I'm still trying, and need a little help.Could someone tell me why this Rob's Hallucination is getting so many leaves in the middle of the plant like this?

Congratulations, HGran, on your seedlings!

Cute blossoms, everyone. Love them.

Jannich, isolate that violet (Rob's Hallucination) with the funny center leaves right away! It might be mites.

Great pictures everybody.
Gail, that pink patches is a dream!
Heidi,I love the leaves on Laser Celebration.I did order one of the Apache series and I think it was Freedom.

This plant had no name but I am almost 100 percent sure this is water fall I no I ordered one but this one might have also come from my good friend Turtle Chi ninja girl

I know this is a common one--but it's always been one of my faves. This was a plant-- that should have been tossed on the compost heap-- that a vendor sent me, has taken since last summer to get it to this point.

JIM

Frederick, MD(Zone 7a)

Great growing, Susan! Like Jim said, Seren isn't an easy one.

From here:

http://www.dibleys.com/chelsea/2007/index.htm

Debuting is Streptocarpus 'Seren', a totally new colour break in Streptocarpus breeding and has taken many years to achieve. The initial cross was made in 1995 and has taken 8 generations and over 3000 seedlings to achieve this vibrant yellow. True to their Welsh roots Dibleys have given this amazing plant a Welsh name – which translates as Star in English. This plant is a strong variety with a compact habit which is very free flowering over ten months of the year.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Awesome looking plant, Susan! Congratulations.

I realize this is NOT a bloom, but you have no idea how excited I am that babies are finally coming. I had almost given up as the top of the leaves were looking grim, so I took a chance and fertilized them real good............

Looking good, Gail! Wait until you see what container I found to start leaves in! I still haven't stuck the leaf of Roulette Cherry I won in the raffle last month . . . it's nice and happy hanging in it's baggie! I wish I had other strep leaves to start in it, but I've got plenty of AV's to get leaves from!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Put your strep leaf with a little bit of water in the bottom of a zip lock bag in the refrigerator.........you may have waited too long for it to rehydrate..........take another cut and put some little bit of water in the zip lock.

Whitsett, NC(Zone 8a)

Oh, it's nice and happy. Doing exactly what you said for the past few weeks . . . it's nice and - what's the word . . . firm. Just waiting for me to do something with it.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

good! I am getting so old I forget what I have said.....such is 'old age' and I am happy for each day I get here on earth.

Whitsett, NC(Zone 8a)

Here's a bloom from sinningia pusilla(?) . . . isn't she cute?

Nice pics everyone! Fun Sunday at Dave's^_^

Wow, this new thread got long fast, and with so many beauties! Naming a couple of favorites is tough...

Gail I see why the Franken streps are so sought after with that picture of Dainty Lady!!

GoldLeaf I think Pink Feathers has to be one of the most beautiful AV's I've ever seen, so much going on with and it comes together beautifully!

M3M your "pet" picture is another stunner!

Phoebe your micro sinns are so cute, I have several and I just love them and Chirita Tamiana remains one of my favorite small growers with big easy returns in blooms and seeds!

HGran good job with those seeds!! GoldLeaf also encouraged me to get some seeds down from a strep cross I had done over a year ago and they have all come up and it looks like I planted a lawn instead of strep seeds! LOL

Jannich your Falling Stars is looking fabulous!

Yes Syuri, your Sin Pusilla is very very cute.
