I will just have to show more of them for you, Jim!
Isn't Goldleaf's orchid to die for!!
Have to go see how many pics I can get in a hurry for you.......
Jim, my streps know it is spring here and I don't even have time to take pics of all............maybe you haven't seen some of these I just took.
I am mad I can't get a good pic of Ida Wanna. She has the prettiest yellow and purple blooms in the world...........this doesn't do her justice plus she has a bunch of blooms.....

JIM

JIM
I know you do!! ^_^
I just love the color on Sultan's Ruby, Gail!
I have no blooms to speak of right now, 'cause I've been disbudding for the past few weeks . . . but, I think my Rob's Fuzzy Navel is getting ahead of the game . . .

That looks exactly like my lavender profusion............the flowers stay small on mine........many flowers all small. Yours is new so watch to see if it does what mine does...........
Did you stick the av leaves in 1/2 perlite and 1/2 vermiculite? If you used soil less mix, sometimes they just rot.........but remember I don't even grow them anymore..
I make two slashes across the bottom with the scissors on a solo cup of 1/2 perlite and 1/2 vermiculite as peat always rots mine...............then dome them real good.
Yes Kim that is the right name...LOL I have been stressed with stuff so I will try and call you later as I am going outside to play in the dirt... To get my head on right... When I plant AV leaves all I do is cut them from the big plant and then stick them in a wine/tall glass and place under the lights... They grow every time... Luck I guess...
Hugs,
Susan
Lots of beauties there, Gail. Sultan's Ruby is in a word...rich.
I have very few blooming sized av's any more but do have lots of babies mostly mini types and trailers that have recently been separated from the mother leaves. I used to grow only violets with an occasional other gessie. Now my plant room is converted over mostly to streps and I want to use the top shelves for episcias where it's warmer.
Here is one I like for the pink variegated foliage called 'Pink Feathers' in first bloom.
Pink Feathers (S. Sorano) Semidouble medium pink frilled star/darker fantasy. Variegated dark green, pink and tan, serrated. Standard
Very unusual variegation.I'ts a keeper.
Goldleaf, you always make the best choices in african violets. If I could order leaves or plants that look as great as yours do, I would grow african violets!! I do have your chirita leaves and african violet leaves down, so I have a good start.
Did you know that one of the av leaves is now 5" tall. Don't you think I might ought to cut some off???? The chirita leaves are even bigger. Can I cut them in half and root the top half of these giant chirita leaves? The babies haven't appeared yet.
