Beautiful pics Debin! Thanks for starting the new thread!

LOL That's a good description of the little fellow, Deb. Elphaba, that's the first time I've seen an Orange Crowned Warbler. That's what I love about this forum: it gives us the opportunity to share photos with those from other areas who may not have a particular bird where they live. BTW, for the past two years I've had a RC Kinglet visit our feeder. I'm not giving up this year. I love to watch that little guy.

Essex Junction, VT(Zone 4a)

I love "Butter Butt" and my husband agrees - he says this is much easier to remember than "that other thing you said" :)

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

I remeber when I saw my first "Butter Butt" last winter...I was so excited!!! They are such cute little things.

Just had a few from yesterday afternoon as I was somewhat ocuppied so not much time for taking photos.

This female Cardinal was just posing so pretty for me...

And last from yesterday....Mr. Red-winged Black-bird sitting in the tree. Actually I had two males here at the same time so that was a good thing!!

Deb, your "Butter Butt" is really cute-love that attitude shot!

Nanny, great pictures and a nice variety of colors.

Northern Flickers are always here, but this one seemed to be enjoying the rain.

ducbucin: I love the singing Titmouse.

DH said that my little butter-butt pal was giving us his best "Audobon pose" :)

I still prefer 'myrtle warbler' I wish they wouldn't change things, but 'butter butt' is cute. I saw my forst 'orange shafted' flicker at sister in law's house in CO. Didn't realize that they had the red mustache instead of the black one.

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

Thanks for the new thread Deb...Nice pics to start, love the YR Warbler...mine seem to have disappeared.

Nanny...you are queen of the yard birds!! Hope things are going well for you...no pun intended!!

Duc...the Oak Titmouse is just too cute for words!

Here is an Eastern Meadowlark from yesterday! (Every time I see one I think of Mrs. Ed)

Last one...a male Cardinal. This is the one that has been around for awhile with a deformed beak. He seems to be doing fine.

I lied...here is a better one showing his beak.

Rose, that meadow lark is stunning!!

This is my favorite shot from today...and I thought it would be the worse one!!

Dellrose, that Meadowlark is beautiful!! I've never seen one 'for real".
Nanny: Great job catching that fellow in flight!

I remember hearing the meadowlarks as a child & after WWII houses were suddenly built on their fields. I don't hear them around here, which seems strange as there are open pasture lands.

Tiger..........just saw your post about the Eagle, didn't know you had already posted it. Sorry about that.

Marlton, NJ

Great shots here!

Rose I love the Meadowlark and Goldfinch!

Nanny Nice catches of the Vulture!

Las Cruces, NM

Spring is in the air here in New Mexico; so I decided to sit outside today and watch the birds. Here's a curve-billed thrasher. They look so mean; but they are actually very gentle and have the sweetest sounding song.

It's not a bird; but this little cottontail love bird seed and has better "table manners" than the dove.
