DAILY PICS. VOL. 187

Lovely pics everybody. I see all the snow you got back east... brrrr. Warm but sooooo dry here.
Nanny, I have a Robin too but in the 4 1/2 years I've lived here I've just seen them a few times. He came for a drink today and when a noisy car went by he really showed off his red breast.

one more pic, this one is a thrasher that was building a nest. I was so surprised when he jumped up on the wall as if to show me his twig! springtime = Nest time!

Love your thrasher angele. We are always to happy when the Brown Thrashes show up for summer. They are DH's favorites I think...them and the hummers!

Thanks Adel...

Great pictures everyone. You folks that got snow can keep it. We here in Central Pa. got bypassed by the storm; just windy and bitter cold.

Nanny, regarding your upcoming test, I was thinking the same thing about Dirt's feeder--I, too will have a supply of those--mine is scheduled for April 13!!

I know Mrs. Ed, TMI. LOL

Yes my stomach doctor said they should be gotten anytime in adulthood.

GG, Lucky you missing the snow! Wind Chill 1 degree here now!

Nice pics burn! How much longer will you have the Redpolls & Grosbeaks?

This Cooper's posed for me the same day. They usually can't fly away fast enough!, and I was allowed a number of shots. I even left before the Cooper's did.

Good evening all,
With all the "health" talk going on, I can only imagine there is going to be
a whole lot of happy birds in the near future
Hoping everything comes out fine.
And if you're all snowy, safe and warm.

Lots of great shots by everyone.

The circus was in town today,
acrobats, clowns and suet swallowers,
yes
come one come all,
the Magnificent Traveling Bushties

PERTH, Australia

Wonderful pix everyone. New Holland Honeyeater feeding from a Banksia Prionotes at home this afternoon.

Wow, I had no idea the banksias were that huge!

PERTH, Australia

These flowers are about 9" long. You realize now I'm going to have to climb a tree with a ruler tomorrow to measure exactly how long they are. Some species of Banksia are much longer than these.

Wow.

Well wear sensible shoes and don't fall.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Awesome Margaret!

Tiger love the Red-tailed shot!! I had one drive right across infront of my windshield the other day by the cow pasture on my way home the other day. Of course I did not have the camera!

Some really beautiful birds on this thread and Adel I love how you started it off!! Your posts always make me laugh!

My computer or server is very iffy lately...grrrr...!!

I was driving on a gravel road late yesterday afternoon and I spotted a pair of of Greater Roadrunners. To say I almost hyperventilated would be an understatement!! Anyway I got a few crummy shots but good enough to prove that I really did see them!!

This first one is through the car window...that's why there is a streak on it.

Thumbnail by dellrose
The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

I managed to get out of the car and get this one off the back bumper...it was running away fast and into the sun!!

Nice photos, everyone .....

tigerlily, fantastic shot of the Red-tailed Hawk.

Margaret, does it ever rain in Perth ? Your photos always have that beautiful blue sky in the background. I sure like those Honeyeater's.

Rose, nice Roadrunner photos, also

Yesterday was a great photography day here in my Maryland backyard despite the bitter cold, sometimes blowing snow and the wind. I try to always take advantage of days when the snow lays on the tree branches. Snow just enhances one's bird photos. I'll post some of my photos later since I am still sorting through about 400.

Lincoln, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

I love the interaction between the birds (including the stationary one!) and Frank the Frog adel!

I'm enjoying everyone's pics, great you saw the Roadrunners rose!

Looks like some are going to need new computers, I sympathise but a new one will give better service!

Cocky Pheasant followed me around while I went out with my camera on Sunday in brief sunshine, he thought there should be some food in my hands!
