stictocardia seed ID
this seedling is a mess... it's my first sprout of Stictocardia Tiliifolia from Austrailia.
the seed it sprouted from arrived crushed so i just shoved it in a pot and watered it with some bottom heat.... and hey presto it got up before the others where even awake!
it shows that the cotyledons are deeply bilobed like those of S.bereviensis from Thailand and S.macalusoi from S Africa... and not like the S.tillifolia relative, S.campanulata shown here that has almost entire lobes...

i think it will probably end up the same as Annette68's here:
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/913263/
they look the same as mine...from Africa
I just wanted to bring this great thread forward, hoping some updates pop up. Frank
Hi Frank, I gave away most of my seeds, but have a plant that has bloomed somewhere in the mg forums, during early winter ..
Becky had some seeds sprout and bloom.. I did recieve some other types mentioned aove, when they show up I will post here..
good to see you, would post pics now, but my laptop fried and am on a new one without the data saved from the old ones. .
Thanks Debra. I am beginning to think that I was the only one with a S.maculosoi, that didn't have it under lights and, it never has bloomed. It is pretty obvious now that it needs lights going into fall and winter, to bloom. Thanks for the update. Frank
