the weather's not even (that) bad...

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

That's all right my spelling has been a family joke for years. It would help if I had good hearing. LOL

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

huh? WHat did you say?

Sorry, I couldnt resist. ;)

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

that's ok it is called working with huge(really huge) computer printers for 27 years.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

I have no excuse. I just cant spell. :D

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Spelling Fairy checking in....and the correct spelling, since nobody has brought it up, is "awful" but "offal" also fit in that circumstance, so no tickets will be issued today. Besides which, the Spelling Fairy is feeling offal (or awful) today too.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Thank you, Thank you. I am so happy.

Clarkson, KY

I think there's some sort of non-standard usage exemption if you file the proper forms...

Hope you're feeling better soon Claire!!

wren-dear! Whatever spell check did to you it was kinda nice having the option of feeling offal today! Cheered me right up.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Then I am glad!!!! I learned along time ago to laugh at my self. LOL

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Wren, you're exempt from spelling fairy tickets anyway because you're just too sweet and we wouldn't want Andre to eat the ticket by mistake in any case.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Yes he would eat it. LOL

LMBO!!!

Clarkson, KY

ditto!!!

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Now that I have learned to spin, just looking at those long locks on his chest, I realize that he has perfect spinning fur!

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I will remember that when I brush him. How much do you want? LOL
His under coat is very fine ,soft and is a lot better then the longer hair, which is thicker.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

LOL! It's like angora rabbit - one blends it in with the sheep's wool at about 20 to 30%. So therefore, you can use pretty much any amount for blending. My angora fur is about 3 inches long, which is a nice length for blending, but you can do less, down to maybe 1.5 inches or so.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I will be starting to do the spring grooming soon and I will same as much as I can. It is very soft.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Can I make you a scarf with it? Or do you never need a scarf in Florida?

Clarkson, KY

Probably when it gets down into sixties....

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

ROTFL Grow....

Clarkson, KY

{{I'm waiting for her to come back and smack me, lol}}

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I will smack both of y'all. And yes it gets down low enough for a scarf. And Thank you that would be nice. Poor dog will get brushed a lot to get enough. LOL

He probable be re leaved to get rid of some of that coat

They wear scarfs...no coats. :/
If you wake up and your dog is bald we have NO idea what happened.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I do to have a coat!!!!!

There is times that I wish he was bald!!!! Specially when those balls of fur the size of hamsters crawls out from under the furniture and when I find fur in my food. Which is better than the dog's noise there. You do not leave anything even remotely eatable around.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

hehehe so dust "bunnies" are not the right term for those dinosaure clumps!!

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

No And I swear that they are alive. At least Andre does not produce as many as my last Terv did.

I need to get to bed. Will talk to all y'all tomorrow. I hope everyone get to feeling better.

Good night.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

GOOD NIGHT!!!! I STILL DONT BELIEVE YOU HAVE COATS. Need photographic evidence. hehehe

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Hey we have had 25 freezes this year and another one coming. I live in North Florida, our weather is more like that in Ga. I have a couple of coats. I keep losing my gloves thought. I think Andre eat them.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Either that or the dinosaure fur balls are steaking them to hatch a plan to take over the world. hmmm... diabolical!!!
Actually, I believe you about the weather. Florida has indeed gotten a bit of cold weather this year. hehehe

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Could be. I have 6 left hand garden gloves and one right one. So there must at least have one hand each.

Funny, funny about the weather. I just wish it would stay one way or the other. This rollercoaster ride if not fun. One morning we where down to 29 in the morning and up to 70 in the afternoon.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

That is crazy!! Today its going to 50. But of course rain and very windy. The poor birds are having a hard time landing any where. DD and I were out getting her on the bus this morning and we watched them over and over getting tossed away from where they were trying to go. So I will not carry an umbrella even in the rain. whoooooooo! (it would be inside out!)

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

We have been having wind to. It is 47 here right now and will be up to 71 this afternoon but in a couple of days they are saying another freeze is on its way. That is the problem with our winters, you can not acclimatize to the cold. Back we I worked we had a supervisor that was transferred from Denver. The first winter he said it was not cold here. The next he said it was D___M cold here. The older I get the harder it is to handle the cold.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

May be time to move further south!! hehehe

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

No it gets way to hot down there!!!!! Besides we would have to find new doctors for DM and I do not what to go through that!!!!! NO NO NO!!!!!

Speaking of with I have to take her for a doctor app. right now. Talk at you later.

(Zone 7b)

We are susposed to get rain and wind today done been out and fed, watered and secured.

Worried about tomarrow we due to get some bad storms and last time this happened we had a tornado that just missed us.
Funny thing is i worry about the chickens and birds getting hurt or their pens being blown over more than i do my house getting blown away (true chicken head)
My dad when we would have these spring storms would say "hope it don't blow done my corn" I thought corn what about us LOL

Last Year at the Auction we go to there was a tornado went thru a small town just up the road (less than a mile). When we left later the road was literly covered with green pine straw and cones you couldn't even tell it was a road. The Hail was so big and thick it looked like it had come a snow storm and covered the ground. Luckly no one was injured and no major damage it blew out the windows of the church and some homes.
I told my DH if it had hit the auction we would of all been killed the building is all cinder blocks with a metal roof and lots of windows.

We went back the next saturday and you could see where it stripped the pine needles off the trees they were all bare.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I"m back for now.

Harm hope the storms miss you.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

I remember one year a tornado hit the NY state fair. weird huh. We really so not have a lot of that extreme weather, unless you count snow. hehehe
I do indeed hope the storm misses you Harm. I like the one about your dad, (hoping the corn does not get blown down), to heck with all else!! LOL
Wren, I guess you are right where you need to be then. I will put you on my mitten list. (Darn dino dust-hair balls) hehehe

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

OH goody!!!!!

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

I can tell ya about Naders. WOW.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

I bet you can. Here they are so small I dont think they can be called tornados. hehehe I dont mean to down play the disaster anyone has experienced here with them, but truely, they are far and few between.
Gotta keep you warm Wren. :)

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

yes if you do not keep me warm my chattering teeth might vibrate the house down.
