Spring CS RU - Saturday, May 9
I need some directions to get out of Dallas and then to college station ... somebody please dmail me. This is my first time going this distance alone and I am scared.
Also Dmail me some cell numbers please.
Thanks
Sylvia...all I know is to take I-35S to Waco, then take Hwy 6 S to College Station. Hopefully someone else will have more detailed directions for you. I'll d-mail you contact info.
Also, for some reason I had it in my head that we only have the pavilion until 2pm, but I picked up the keys this morning and that isn't true. We actually have it reserved for the entire day. So we can have all the fun we want for as long as we want!
:) Kim
We are starting around 11am, correct?
Anyone going to breakfast or am I doing Jack in the Box?
:~)
Actually I will probably be there around 9am, some people will be arriving between 9 and 9:30 to try and beat the heat. But we have the pavilion all day so whenever you get there is fine! I don't think we are doing a breakfast this year though. If I remember I could try and grab some doughnuts or something.
:) Kim
Sorry,
Can't make this one.
See y'all in the Fall.
Awwww sorry to hear that Bubba.
Maybe y'all could plan the fall date while you're together, while there are more options available? My vote would be for the last two weeks in October - weather is cooling down, and there is still time to get the plants settled in the ground before the first freeze.
And - if you'd like a different location, I can suggest Northshore Park here in The Woodlands. It has covered pavilions, play area for kids, fishing, and a nice little lake if anybody wanted to canoe or kayak. http://www.woodlandsonline.com/cdps/cditem.cfm?nid=5654
We had our Master Gardener picnic there recently, and it was a very nice location.
Just a thought... Not trying to cause any problems.
Have a wonderful time tomorrow!! Wish I could be there with you.
Awww CeeJay ... that sound awsome! ... moving around a little bit wont hurt ... and it will give Kim a little relief.
I added a person to my group. I have DH and DD and 3 door prizes.
I copied down the directions and everything to get to the park, but is there more than one pavilion? Do we need directions to get to the right spot?
I will have a sign but it will be the largest pavilion there. If you take William J Bryan towards downtown Bryan, it will be immediately to your left when you reach the park.
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who came to the roundup! I think it went well and that everyone had a good time. And thanks to all who helped with the donations.
:) Kim
Yes, we had a great time! So glad we came. Kim, thanks for organizing this...you're the best! And nobody took any photos? On the way home I remembered that I hadn't seen anyone taking photos. If I'd thought about it, I had a camera in the truck which I'd mostly brought in case I saw any wildflowers along the road. I could have taken pics!
I brought a camera, but DD used up the battery taking pictures of the turtles.
I had my camera with me but didn't take it out until just about everyone was gone....
Smockette, Ilovejesus and I was setting at the table talking and a squirrell was eating some food that had been dropped under one of the tables so I took pictures of the squirrell... I would have taking pictures of the turtles if I had of known about them.. LOL!! Maybe next time we will take pictures of everyone...
Kim, thank you so much for organizing this - GREAT JOB!!! had a blast! and so did my 26 YO son!
Did you end up with enough money? If not PLEASE post it here so we can get it to you.
When I was packing up, I put my camera back in the car - because by then I think only 6 people were left ;-(( I'm so sorry I didn't take the time to get some pictures.
I'll see if I can get her to put her pictures on here. She put them on her desktop. When she asked me for the camera I had no idea she was going to use up all the battery on turtles!lol Didn't know she was so in love with turtles.
I forgot too ... was too busy trying to get rid of stuff!lol I got more to take to Jacksonville. ;0
