Come one, come all to the 2009 spring roundup in College Station! We will be gathering on Saturday, May 9 at the large pavilion in Sue Haswell park. Basically take the Boonville Rd/FM 158/William J Bryan exit off of Hwy 6, then follow William J Bryan towards Bryan. Sue Haswell Park will be on your left prior to reaching Texas Ave. I will try to put up some signs.
Please respond on this thread if you plan on attending, and how many people you will be bringing. Also, it would be nice if everyone could bring a door prize for each person in their party. Traditionally these are small items, a gardening tool, a book, something whimsical for the garden.

Sounds great everyone! I am sorry the date change has affected some people. Unfortunately around here pavilions are highly desired in the spring (college graduations, high school graduations, etc). I am looking forward to seeing everyone! My mom and dad should also be attending this one.

Well, I am afraid that I am not going to make it to College Station this Spring. I have been wanting to go and meet the East Texas folks, and this year the CS is May 9 and East Texas May 16th.
That is two weeks in a row and that is too much for us.
I hate to miss CS. because I only see many special people at that one, but I really want to go to East Texas.
I am really sorry, Kim, Linda, Bob, Ann and everybody else, if it wasn't two weeks in a row I would be there in a heart beat. I hope I can make the Fall one.

I thought CS was changed from April 5th to May9th ... where is this East Texas going to be held and who is handling it. I got a car now, so I want to make them all. ;)

I'm not going to be able to make the May 9th date. So sorry to miss it - it's always so much fun - good food, great folks, and the numbers of plants are amazing. I've never been to a RU, but it sounds like great fun, so count me in! I may possibly have my mother or daughter with me, On second thought I don't know if my daughter will be with me or not since she's due to have my first grandbaby on April 3rd. Oh, well, I'll be there even if I'm alone. Anyone live around Cleveland, Conroe, Willis, New Wavery, or Huntsville that wants a ride?

Hello everyone, I am going to commit myself.......I mean to come. ROTFLOL I am going to say 1 maybe 2. I am trusting myself to do this. I have become a recluse and don't leave even it I run out of milk I will sometimes not go to the store for 2 weeks. I know it is not healthy but it has just gradually happened and I can't seem to break it. I have only put 2,000 miles on my truck since Dec. of 2007. I am ashamed to admit it but it has become this way and maybe by sharing that is what I do I can break it at least over time.
So I am going to say I will be there even if Brian has not moved here yet. Please forgive me if I don't make it as I really want to. It is the best thing to get out I know but I just talk myself out of it.
