Help me, Dave!

Oklahoma City, OK(Zone 7a)

I just posted a picture on the Identification forum regarding a hosta I want ID'd. The photo, at least when I click on it to enlarge it, goes haywire. Is this happening to everyone who wants to view a larger image?

Help, please...

Thanks,
Carla

Smiln -

My computer wigged out a little when I brought up the full-sized hosta picture; it was having trouble as each line scanned onto the screen. Dave - is it a file size issue?

It seems to me it's just way too big a file. The resolution of your picture is 2253x1453 pixels. The file size is 301,857 bytes, which equals almost 300 kilobytes.

A good size to make images for the web is a max of 800x600 pixels and to save them at medium quality compression. It's good to keep your JPEG's to 50-100kb or less when posting.

I don't know what the hosta is, by the way. But is sure is pretty!

Kimberley

Thanks, I'm going to have to ask my darling husband to help me figure out the file size thing. I'm new to this, but that's what his degree is in...so....he can answer it if that's the problem. thanks for your help.

I could sure use help here too. My pics won't post cuz it says they're too big. Most are 150-180k. I can send them to my Sis and she goes through a bunch of whatever to resize them and then sends them back to me. What a hassle. I should be able to do this but how? I've searched through my software but can't figure it out. HELP. Kate :)
