Thanks, pelle. I don't often get good shots anymore, because the camera is way to heavy now for my injured hand, but I went "Ohhh!" when I saw this on the moniter.
DAILY PICS VOL. 181
Okay, Resin! LOL
Please know that I have had PC and extreme dial-problems for a very long time, and only now am able to participate here.
I have the same problem tiger (bum left hand and wrist) that's why I always use the tripod unless it's a flight shot.
Great job!
What great photos, everyone. Pelle I love your tree full of dark birds.
Rose, your photos are always such a pleasure to view, but the male Cardinal is a stand-out.
Long-billed Corella and baby. They're not very popular at the golf club at Cottesloe. They're eating the fairways and greens. Can't have that, can we?
Love the Corellas Margaret!
Beautiful Redpolls Gary!
Tiger, that eagle shot is outstanding!!
I like everybody else's too...just way too many to mention!
Jealous of all your birds today everyone! Good job.
Pelle the Red-tail Hawk is awesome!
I love the Chestnut-backed Chickadee!
Margret I love the Long-billed Corella, unfortunately that's something I'd only get to see at the zoo or in a pet shop!
Still envious of those Redpolls!! ☺
Burn your Doves look so content!
Gary, loved the bit of Mother Goose! Also, those redpoll pictures are just stunning. Beautiful bird, perfect poses, and really clear shots. Just perfect.
Margaret, you just have the coolest birds!
Burn, looks cold! Looks like you might be feeding every bird in town too!
White-winged dove in a brief moment of sun yesterday. "Here comes the sun" -- no I swear I won't!
Great pics everyone - I can't keep up with the posts - you are all so busy!!!!
Nice one Elphaba!
Those Tree Sparrows are so cute!
Nice pics guys!
everyone's been busy! I shared some threads with a friend and explained this is how I get through the winter - looking at everyone's birds!
I finally got outside and took some pix. I also got some video but can't figure out where to upload easily for free yet. I'll keep looking (video isn't very interesting, but love capturing the sounds of the birds!)
here's a black capped chickadee and a pine siskin sharing a feeder
I went ahead and installed the thing to upload videos to google. Note that the video is actually not that great, esp at the size they put it at :( So feel free not to watch - you don't see any birds and it is all about the listening.
If you do watch, this is what I see when I look out from my back deck - I sit at the edge of a ridge, which probably was a river or lake edge way back when. Anyway, you can see the tops of the trees down below, and the trees right past the ridge line. The male cardinal is near the top of my big red maple, and the blue jay was who knows where.

this one you hear a crow in the foreground, and white breasted nuthatches in the background. all while watching a couple chickadees and pine sisken at feeders.

oh, and these were via my digital camera, so not the greatest, esp as I'm not the greatest photographer in the first place :) but thought I'd try something a little different.
evie, You have a great area for bird watching! Nice pics!
not sure what it is (brown creeper??)
Yep! Spot on.
