Pelle, love the Cardinal with the peanut!

Grackles are really pretty, a nuisance, but pretty.

Nice ones Pelle..that Cardinal cracks me up! I didn't think I had any Grackles 'til I checked out the front yard!!

Igor the local Bald Eagle has emptied out the yard so can't count for awhile...here are a few pics from yesterday.

Elphaba, Those Warblers are adorable!

Very cute Chipping Sparrow!

Seabrook, SC(Zone 8b)

Really, not just a pile of leaves. There are over a dozen birds in the picture. Kind of reminds me of when I go to an aquarium and I'm fascinated by the flounder exhibit. "It's just an empty tank." And then slowly you start to see all the fish.

LOL borders!! Kind of like Where's Waldo?

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

Yesterday was a nice day for pictures. Can't say the same for today, blizzard condition out there, all my south facing window are covered in snow, and have tons of birds in the yard.

I am on the lookout for RWB's!

I see a particular bird from time to time in a certain area on the way in/out of where I live. But not a place one can stop to take a photo unless you want your car totaled...and DH DOES NOT want that!! LOL

I had suspicions on what is was. LAst night we were heading off to go to Lowes over in Avon, and there it was. My best look to date, since I wasn't driving at the time. Came home and looked it up and I spotted me a Loggerhead Shrike!!!! So a new bird on the list...now if I could just get a pic of it....

In the mean time...seeing lots of sprong mating behaviors here. I have seen male housefinch feeding females, and nuthatches feeding one another. And I think these 2 Red-bellied Woodpeckers were in negotiations thursday!

Pelle looks like your ready to bake a pie, as in Mother Goose:

Sing a song of sixpence,
A pocket full of rye;
Four-and twenty blackbirds
Baked in a pie!

When the pie was opened
the birds began to sing:
Was not that a dainty dish
to set before a king?

Linthicum Heights, MD(Zone 7a)

Great shots everyone. Luv, way to go with the hawk photo. Really nice shot.

Although a fair day, today, I stayed in and performed some Valentine's Day chores, like hanging a mirror that was sitting and waiting to be put up for about ........ 5 years. I don't like to rush into things !!! My DW must wonder what I did wrong .......

Hope everyone is having a great day .........

I just love the little Chestnut-backed Chickadee's. They've been here all winter this year, after just a fly through last winter. They have finally discovered my feeders, but still seek the Incense Cedar seed often.
