A bunch of us are trying to breath some warmth into the Cool Climate Gardening Forum. I hope I am not out of line posting on this forum...Just trying to get the word out about its existence as we're finding many people aren't aware of it. Whether you are US or Canadian, please come join us to discuss the unique challenges of gardening in Mother Nature's refrigerators!

I used to think Zone 1 was a myth.

Then you'd probably really have a hard time believing Santa's House is 2 miles down the road from mine...LOL

OK, you convinced me.

Here is a practical advice: start growing ice plants! I can send you cuttings, LOL!

I would like to add that some of us in zones 5 are chatting in Cool Climate, I live up in an area where spring comes late and I try to grow plants that will extend my bloom season, or find micro climates in the yard to add a few zone 6/7 plants.
It is interesting to read about gardening in zones 1 -2- 3- 4 makes you appreciate what you have, I was always complaining as I moved from a zone 6-7 and from great soil to clay.
