Penny needed to go but the patio was flooded an inch deep plus ice, she wasn't stepping off for nothing!

My shade cloth on the side of the house got quite a build up, it's still there, over an hour later, still too cold to melt.

Crazy! Still looks like snow on the roof too. (poor brug, always gets hit from frost every year, it always comes back beautifully though)

Succulents on ice

Heck, Sue! My neighbor told me we had some hail the other day, but I didn't see it. We did have a power outage though. Lows have been around 34 this week, too.

It's currently 45° here, so probably cold tonight. That ice is barely melted, still layer of white everywhere.

No hail but my son said it was really cold last night. For him to say it was cold it must have been bad. I hope all your plants recover quickly CalifSue. I feel for Penny. Liked the photos, especially of the citrus on ice! LOL! Pretty contrast.

That's a lot of hail! Must have been pretty localized though, we've had a little bit of rain up here on and off but no downpours and no hail. I don't blame Penny for not wanting to step off the porch, I wouldn't either if I were her!

Yeah, it was under just a dark cloud, I called DH at work only 10 minutes away and they didn't have any there, they just got the heavy downpour. I held the phone out the back door so he could hear how incredibly loud it was.
I just went out to check and there's still hail sitting in spots around the yard and in pots.
