Really great photos, especially that last one! I like it almost as well as the one Dad sent me last year. We didn't get rainbows yet, but I'll be looking for them.

I'm just growling to be growling! I prefer sunshine over rain and I know we need it. It's my selfishness shining through, isn't it? And yes, that little guy got the gold, always!

I definitely know what a rainbow is and have seen many. But what's a sun dog? Never even heard of that before this. Thanks for the education.

Where have I been? Never heard of a sundog! It's beautiful!!! Great pictures. I always feel like seeing those IS the pot of gold.

I saw that too SW. I am really happy with how they turned out. I normally take blurry, unfocused pictures, especially the important ones!

Factoid: When seen from above (like from an airplane) Rainbows are circular in shape.
It's okay KC, Sun dogs are hard to find, and that one is spectacular!
A lot of people don't know about earth shine either, which is the reflected glow from the sun shining on Earth, and being reflected back to show the dark part of the moon. Best seen when Moon is new, waxing or waning on a clear night.

I don't believe that...LOL! We've never seen the flash...I think it's a myth......

Nope, it's not a myth---I've seen it in person when we were stationed on Grand Turk island in the Caribbean. But in 15 months, we only saw it about three times, so it's not a common occurrence.

I'm green with envy. I look for the green flash every sunset when we are at the beach too!
Oh well. I saw it snowing at O'side once, when I was a kid. That's pretty rare too! ^_^
I believe in the green flash! I'm a great fan of Tinkerbell too! LOL!

We just had an extremely heavy downpour here about an hour ago, it got louder and louder and I soon realized it was hailing, pea size and an extreme heavy downpour like I have never seen!

Looks like snow, it's not!

All my pots were covered

Streets were flooding, curb disappearing, trying to wash my Jeep away!

Hail piled up around the downspout
