What else do you grow?

Maybe try something free first, Maxine. Post your problem over on the DG Computer Talk forum. Be as explicit as possible and be sure to post the make (and model if you know) of your pc, your operating system (otherwise known as OS, like: XP, Vista, Leopard, etc.).

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

I will do that if my niece and her husband don't make it up from Burlington soon!
Getting tired of this thing not working. He has a master degree in computers and fixes them all the time for people plus holding down his job.
I should say that I am so stupid when it comes to these machines!!

Stupid? Believe me, we are all stupid! I have been futsing with my "new" used pc, trying to get it to work. Tested the monitor by hooking up this older pc to it. That monitor does work, but when I plugged this pc's monitor back up, the screen didn't work completely right as it should and did before. Said it didn't have the correct .inf file, so it is using a generic one. I found the right file (still where it always was), told the pc to access that one, and Voila! It didn't work. Well it had been several days, and I was thinking the answer will come to me, and it finally did, via one of those computer forums by reading solutions to someone else's problem. The answer, SO SIMPLE, and I really feel stupid for not thinking of it . . . . SYSTEM RESTORE!

Now I can see images again with the correct colors, etc., and the page size isn't all screwed up. I can comment on all you guys' photos again.

Great stuff!

And now I can post some of my stuff, and actually see what I am posting. some of my lily companions:

Digitalis trojana.

I might add that since I grow a lot of species lilies, many grow in part shade.

Leftwood, thanks for the tip about renaming pics. that will help me a lot. I have a huge mess of files going back to 2005 and the thought of organizing the files is that--just at thought.

It's never too late to start, vossner. This is what one of my photo folders looks like that I use for posting:

Thanks! Unfortunately the picture of the allium and barberry isn't a very good picture though.

glevely, the grandsons need lots of calcium (their favorite snack is milk and cheese!)

Finally I found what I was looking for. This was a project that I did late last fall.
Want to finish the rest of it this spring.

Another, showing some of the stepping stones. 18" so you have a safe place to step.
I have to watch it, as I lose my balance very easily.

Maxine, that is really nice. Love your pond! Do you have fish in it too? Nice wide path. Mine always seem to grow over so fast.

Vossner - aaaaawwwwwwwwwww!

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

Well, I suppose that I will be back to weeding perhaps not this yr., but imagine it will begin to look like what it did before.
I have another walk going thru the bed that needs to have the limestone rocks dug up and then lay down at least 3 layers of black plastic, [the kind that weeds don't go thru, like silo covers] works very well.

Maxine, I love your new path, and the garden it accesses is gorgeous!

While Lilies are one of those genera I want every variety I can get my grubby paws on, I'm also pretty nutso about growing just about anything else that blooms too. Too many to even list, but perennials, blooming shrubs and roses, and annuals are all combined with my lilies. I'm particularly fond of blue flowers with lilies, they look good with everything! This year I'm hoping to see lots of Feverfew and annual Poppies blooming alongside Asiatic Lilies. Hoping to see Blue Flax blooming with some yellow and white OTs this summer too. I like the contrast in form of spiky blooms with lilies too, especially Hollyhocks and Larkspur.

One of my favorites that bloom with lilies and others.
A NZ delphinium that I grew from seed that I imported from there.
