The last vol. went so fast I wasn't able to get a new person to start this in time.
This pic is from last summer when my Red-bellied Woodpeckers had chicks and here are the youngsters having their first go at the tail prop suet feeder.
Here is the last volume.

DAILY PICS VOL.178
awww, they are adorable.
Ah so young!
Jane, loved your Roadrunner on the last thread!!
Thanks for the new one pelle!
Love the Pheasant wallaby!
Nice Red-bellied Woodpecker photo, pelle.
Also, nice photo of the Ring-necked Pheasant, wallaby. I must confess that when I was young I thoroughly enjoyed hunting pheasants. Forty-plus years later it is sad to say that I can't tell you when I saw my last Ring-neck. Although some will perceive hunting as a reason for their demise, their survival is a lot more complicated than that. Their habitat is gone. Bounties on their main predators no longer exist and clubs no longer raise the stock that they did years ago. They are truly a beautiful bird and I miss them.
Anyway, here is another photo of a Bald Eagle I took Sunday at Blackwater Wildlife Refuge on the eastern shore of Maryland.
Nice pheasant...where you been hiding at Wallaby!!
I would be thrilled to see a wild pheasant. Just can't imagine...
Great job luvs! That must have been exciting. Nice pics guys!
wow all great shots
Two eagles look like they are discussing the economy. Fantastic pictures everyone.
Beautiful pics GP!
Nice shot of the Bald Eagle linth, front on is hard to get! I do enjoy having Pheasants come to my garden, a young female ran close to me today when I was looking at my thermometer, she saw the bag of peanuts! Stopped short at about 3 feet, I gave her some peanuts, I usually throw a few on the ground when filling the silo. It snowed again, temps just above freezing.
That's a good shot of the eagles luvs, hard to get behind all those branches, must be a sight to see!
nanny, I have been selling stuff on ebay (doing my head in!) to pay for the Nikkor 105mm VR IF micro lens I got in the nick of time, lol, had to pay more than I could have but the stocks were drying up even when they were not shown out of stock. I noticed prices rising by up to £100 more! The exchange rates are killing prices for out of the country imports! I took that Pheasant pic with it, doesn't have the long zoom but I am going to see if I can raise enough for a 2x teleconvertor, only usable on prime lens so I would have an effective 315mm range. It's also been lousy weather, dull, dull and dull!
Great close up of the Mockingbird gardenpom!
Here's one I took a few days ago of my guy with the new kid on the block, he looks to be just maturing with his red things being smaller but he also looks bigger! My guy looks worried. This was out my front window on my not-yet-finished new bed!
Snap, nanny, lol! You got a good close up of that guy!
Great shots~ I love Mockingbirds, one of my favorites.
What a great capture Wallaby!
The woodpeckers always look like there dressed for a formal!!
Love the Wigeons~that's a new one for me!
Can't wait for spring to start seeing our hummers again. So pretty Duc!
