Another Fremont Nursery Closes

I found out today that Sloats in San Bruno is closing. I wonder if any of the other Sloats are in trouble too. Hard economy and when Lowes and HD ointo the neighborhood, it is hard to compete.

My problem is that I am the husband. I did retire. It ain't getting any better. Gotta get a fix at least once a week.
The Mission Adobe Garden Center is still open, but what they have is pretty ragged. Even at 50% off, there aren't very many "deals."

Now 75% off - Not sure how much longer they will stay open.

Gosh, how could they have anything left at all? You first started this in January, George. I thought they were long closed. That is what you call a SLOWWWWWWWWWWWWW closing sale. LOL

I think they may also be selling off Naka Nurseries' wholesale stock.

I always wanted to get in the back there and walk around with big eyes.
