Great find gardenpom!!!! They do get creative and roam a lot to make their chrysalis'.
The skipper looks like it could be a Fiery skipper. And the swallowtail since you live in FL, might be a Spicebush, Black ST or even a Pipevine. Here is a comparison link that you may can use to see the differences and definately id.

I'm going to say Spicebush Swallowtail on the dark one.
Thanks, Sheila and Linda.
GP, congrats on the Monarch chrysalis! I'm just dying to find one.
I bought a milkweed plant last year just for that reason. It grew tall and lanky. I went and looked at it just now, and it has one branch with flowers on top. That's the whole plant. Should I cut it back? Will it fill out on its own? How do you grow it? I thought it was an annual, but apparently not.
Here's a visitor from a few days ago. A Spicebush I think.
Wow! that is gorgeous.
Now that the butterflies have emerged, let's continue the party here: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/962703/
Great shot Elphaba!
Have been in and out of town this month and haven't had a chance to see any butterflies either! However, I drove out to the ranch last weekend and was surprised to see this on of my game cameras. I didn't realize a butterfly could trip the sensor! Must say I was quite amused to find a Pipevine Swallowtail flitting by :o)

ps...drove out there again today and saw lots of PVS cats munching on the native aristolochia erecta. It was a brisk 55 degrees at that :o) a big difference from the 97 degrees the prior weekend!
