Jay, the older chicks that are 2 1/2 weeks old need there cage changed twice a day and water and food ever two hours about.

The black naked neck thats in the bator with the yellow one is also mine I was thinking about naming it Tori but I'm not sure. Can anyone give me any ideas?

Sewin and me were trying to decide who would get a naked neck showgirl if we got any out of this babtch and now we can both have one it couldnt have worked out any better except my sister who is going to want one to now he he he

Ooooo, somebody knit them little mufflers... brrrr, poor little January naked necks. =o(
I see they have already commandeered your brain, CS 'Nique... will have to undergo de-tox now...

CS Dominique, you are totally asking the wrong person about chicken names... I just called all mine 'featherhead'. LOL I think Tori is a fine name.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

There is one egg that is no action. 7 out of 8! wow. Thanks!
The other one is working it. Pip is zipping. They are beautiful. I cant take them out of the bator yet.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

I think Pim is my favorite! Great pictures CS Dominique! I love the heart thing that you do.

Elbridge, NY

Thankyou claire:D The heart frame is an extra feature on the camera that I discovered yesterday

The other pip had still not hatched and I dont see a pip in the oddly shaped egg. When sewin gets home we are going to take the 3 out of the bator and put them into the brooder.

Once they are in the brooder me or sewin will take pictures and put them on for you all to see :]

Cs.Dominique
(sitting here hoping that sewin
will be home soon and that the
pip will hatch)

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

ooommmmmm pipping and zipping and peeping and hatching ooommmmmmmmm

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Sometimes the oddly shaped eggs don't hatch. I've had that happen before. I think maybe they are not the best eggs for incubating. But maybe you will be lucky with yours.

I will look forward to the new pictures when Sewin' gets home!

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

How is everyone elses hatches!!??

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Look how they are all scouting in different directions checking out the perimeter. I bet these fluffers would make good ninjas.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

I agree CMoxon. I dont think that egg is going to hatch. It may not have helped when the three were using it as a soccer ball. :O They were all over the place in the bator! hehehe

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Not as good a ninja as you! You are ninja specailist!!! we need you!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Wouldn't it be great if there were ninja chicks just burbling around being stealthy? They couldn't peep though :(

Elbridge, NY

ha ha ha I wish there was ninja chicks too!

Brookville, PA(Zone 5a)

Pretty peeps..just love them when they are littlle..so soft n cuddly..

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

I have no idea what color the two are. A mix of dark and yellow. Weird!
Thanks, I think they are cute too. Their necks are soooo soft!
Ninja chicks at the ready. They have not mastered stealth yet. They seem to peep a lot!!!

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Maby you could try hatching in a egg carton? That way they won't knock the eggs all about.. they just climb on top and sprawl out on the warm eggs. LOL

You have a darling batch of babiez there Sewin! A white showgirl to boot? Tooo coool..

Elbridge, NY

Now I have Swimmy the mix that we hatched from our own eggs, Pim the puffy head showgirl and the naked neck showgirl named Tim :] I love them are they are all so cute even though Swimmy is going though what I call their akward age where they are losing their fluff and they are growing in feathers. It looks funny he he he Still no hatch from the pip.

Well, the last baby died. It is sad but it happens. It was a showgirl but it was gasping for air.
It only lived a very short time before it passes. The other egg never hatched. Thanks for all the hatching support! This has been really fun!!! I am done for the year and will live vicariously through all of your hatches! ;) hehehe

Sue, RI(Zone 6a)

sorry for your loss. :-(

They are so very cute! Do you really think you'll be done for an entire year.....!lol

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

I really think so. I cant have too many chickens. We only have a small house for them and I dont want them to be over crowded. Ya know. It will kill me though. I have really enjoyed hatching these! I will have to just watch for everyone elses hatches. LOL Soooo, Sandy when are you hatching???? hehehe

(Nadine) Devers, TX(Zone 9b)

Awww what a bunch of cuties!!..I should have a batch hatching again maybe Sunday morning...

edit for spelling

Thanks SewinCircle for sharing your hatching. So very sorry about the one baby. Chickens4ever how are you doing?

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Is that aloe of some kind? Or cactus? It may be 6 years before my DH lets me hatch again Wren!! hehehe

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Those are Epiphyllum or Orchid Cactus. I started the seeds before I learned it take 7 years or more before they will bloom. Oh well I have noting better to do. LOL

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

That is the flower of one that I have blooming right now and it is a small one. Here is a picture of my
