easier way to add multiple plants to my journal from PDB?

It seems I have to go back half dozen steps to add another plant from Plantfiles to my journal (I have a whole list of things I just ordered). Is there a better way to do this? I tried opening 2 windows but once I click to add plant to my journal, I've left the Plantfiles and am back to the same problem. Thanks

There really isn't anyway to use the PlantFiles/Journal "wizard" for a mass of plants--it's a one-at-a-time process. If you know your botanical nomenclature, you can possibly create entries in your journal faster than using the wizard. But if you enter them differently than the way they are displayed in PlantFiles, they won't link into PF. (That's one of the big pluses to using the wizard; it ensures your entry will have the link into PlantFiles.)

Ok. Thanks Terry. I just didn't want to slog along onesies if there was a better way!

One trick that might help you is that most browsers have the ability to go back multiple pages at once rather than having to go back one at a time. On my browser (Safari) you click and hold the back button and it pops up a list of all the pages you've been on and you choose the one you want to go back to--in this case you could use it to take you back to the Plant Files main page or the search page. I do know that IE and Firefox both have this function too but I think it may work slightly different than it does in Safari, unfortunately since I don't have either of them on this computer I can't go check exactly how it works, but it was very similar.

Thanks ecrane. I see what you mean, I think. I have Firefox; will try that method and see if it's faster.

With Firefox, you select the little drop down arrow next to the back button, I use it all the time, sometimes going back 20+ pages with only a couple of clicks.

Thanks Sue. Now that you guys have pointed that out, well, I can see it, but somehow that didn't occur to me. Duh. I guess I'm in my own little DG world and not thinking of regular computer realities. That's what plant-lust does to you. :)

I added an icon (a little tree, of course) to my bottom bar that takes me directly to search plantfiles page, so I just pop back there once I am finished in my journal.

Thanks Tammylp, that's a great idea. DG is such a wonderful community.
