Dad is okay. He needs another surgery but will be coming closer to home for that one. His lung is 90%!!! He is off oxygen and they removed the chest tube. I am so glad. Now he is bugging to go home. He does not have much in the way of patience. hehehe (Wonder where I get that from, whistling looking around distractedly) So, his ribs are all taped up and his shoulder is immobilized. His rotator cuff is detached. Not good. He may come home soon. For him I hope so. Thanks for asking. He is a tuff bird.
Your dad sounds a lot like mine, an ornery ol' cuss. Smoked and drank like a fish all his life, lead a pretty thoroughly disreputable life, and is still kicking. My mom on the other hand, also ornery but lead a fairly upright life, passed away last year at 75. As my sister said, "If mom dies before dad, that's just Wrong!"
I sure hope I got his genes! LOL

That I will. I will keep all essentail gear outside the door and put it on before entering. That will be tough to do but a neccessary step to prevent mind meld! I need to be in the right frame of mind!
Dad is ornery but does not smoke or drink anymore. He is a dancer. He does square, round, line dancing and he does ballroom dancing and clogging. Yup, Fred Estare. spelling? But a good dancer! He is dating a very nice lady that he will probably spend the rest of his life with. My mom died when I was 13. She was ornery too! hehehe We are doomed! (In a good way)

I have swimmy and Uno in an isolation chamber. They are not aloud out unless directly supervised. I will need to fortify their chamber with a strong wire net soon. I see wing feathers!!

All in all, I think this is a pretty historical group; never before in the history of egg hatching has there been a bunch that has so thoroughly lost its wits at the first pip! =0)

Well, the day before yesterday the eggs were rocking. Last night I heard tiny peeping. Today is day22. no pips. Has anyone ever had pip after 21 days? I am getting nervous.
Yes, somebody has...can't remember who...
Well that makes me have some hope. I have watched them grow and develope and now nothing. I even had the egg rocking the day before yesterday and I heard little peeps yesterday. I just dont know. I guess it happens. Too much humidity, too little... I dunno! :(

Well, I know at least one is still alive. I heard peeping again. I will wait and hope for the best. These were the eggs that were in the mail for 12 days so... But they have developed wonderfully. Who knows. ;) I will be patient. (Okay, I am chomping at the bit really and looking for distractions) hehehe
In the mail 12 days? Wow, I didn't think eggs would still be developing after that. Maybe the embryo goes into a kind of delay mode, so the hatch date would be delayed too?
Sure hope so, looking forward to more fuzzy butts...
