Introduceing JELLY BEAN!

(Zone 7b)

Heres the newest member of chickenville her name is "Jelly Bean" and she is 5 weeks old pure white with Crystal Blue Eyes. My good friend gave her to me cause she knows i love blue eyed rabbit's.
Funny thing she gave me Jelly Bean at the auction and when i went to see the animals there was an adult Buck & Doe that looked just like Jelly Bean.
What could i do but buy them their names are "Jean" for my friend who gave me jelly bean and the buck is "Jamey" after my pigeon friend.
My friend Jamey sold me some Jacobins (pigeons)i don't know if it's male and female yet. Will get a pic of Jean & Jamey and my new Jacobins soon as i can.

Just Look At Those "Blue Eyes"

Congratulations on your furry new additions. She has beautiful eyes and such a cute little face! But did I detect a slightly sly look about her?! heehee!

(Zone 7b)

She is a rascal she will growl and try to get away when i hold her but a few rubs on her head and she calms down.
Look at the first pic i tried everytime i tried to take it she either moved or turned her back on me LOL

(Zone 7b)

I can't resist those Blue Eyes i can look at 100 bunnys and never want them but those blue eyes get me everytime.
I have been looking for some pure white blue eyed bunnys and i lucked up and found these saturday.
Funny how my friend brought me Jelly Bean and there was 2 forsale at the auction.
Fate finally swung my way^_^

Sapello, NM(Zone 5b)

I'm dummer than a stump here,,,,, how come they're called lion head?

(Zone 7b)

"Well get off that stump and i'll tell you" It's because lion heads have a mane like a lion and now you know ^_^

Heres "Honey" see her hair on her head thats her mane hers is not as long as a true lion head

What a lovely color, looks like a tortoiseshell cat. But I gotta tell you... that topknot looks more like the waitress down at the taco stand than a lion. You know, the one strand of hair hanging down in the face...

A course, waitress-head doesn't sound quite as fetching, does it? LOL

Nevertheless, it's a sweet bunny.

Jelly Bean is adorable and soooo huggable, but my fave is still Honey.

(Zone 7b)

Honey has been my favorite from the start i have had her going on 3 years now. When i got her she looked like a fuzzy wad of dryer lint. I named her honey because she was so sweet and still is she is the best mother and loves haveing babys.
When it starts getting warm in the spring she will start wanting to build a nest. I know it's time to breed her when she does that and she treats her babys like royalty. Most Does only feed their babys once a day not Honey she feeds them every morning and evening. Her babys are always bigger and stronger than the other does babys.
Thats my Honey Bunny!

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

What a sweetheart. I would love to have a Honey baby. Maybe sometime when I plan a trip to Georgia (whenever that is....) I could get a Honey baby. :-)

Sapello, NM(Zone 5b)

She's a keeper for sure!

Biggs, KY(Zone 6a)

I thought you were chickens only. I did not know you were also farming rabbits. How many do you have and what do you do with them. Those dwarfs are hardly big enough to eat.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Eat? Gasp!!!

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

EAT???

THUD.....

Biggs, KY(Zone 6a)

Domestic rabbits taste great on the grill.

Speaking of eating things...and chickens...I have to tell this:

When I was little, my parents wanted me to experience "the miracle of life." So, they got me some Easter chicks. They thought the chicks would die. How this was supposed to teach me "the miracle of life", I'll never know.

Anyway...the surprise was...little BrightStar became a real chicken mommy. I took good care of my biddies. Such good care, in fact...that they didn't die.

Every day I would run down to the porch to feed the biddies, and make sure they stayed warm. After awhile, the biddies became...chickens. In the city.

Then one day, I ran down to the biddies...and they were GONE!!! Someone had stolen my chickens! I was hysterical!

It wasn't until I became a middle-aged crone that my parents fessed up. No one had stolen my chickens! My parents had "offed" them, and put them on the dinner table!

Then they realized that they couldn't eat them or serve them to us. It was just too sick.

My chickens ended up on a neighbor's dinner table.

I guess it explains a lot. Early separation from my chickens, believing a cold cruel world had stolen them, and there wasn't anything I could do about it. No wonder I grew up to become the queen of wimpy-ness.

Of course, the truth would have shook me up even more...

(Zone 7b)

OH NO NOW JELLY BEAN IS UPSET!! All this talk of eating things Claire are you Okay ""Speak Too Me Claire """

Oh no Jelly Bean is out Jelly Bean Speak to me Jelly bean!!!

Thumbnail by Harmonyplace
Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Oh Harmony, I could never eat bunny. I only eat chicken from the grocery store, not my own chickens, I just can't do it! I'm such a wimp!!!

Please don't be upset Jelly Bean. I wish I could just give you a little nose rub and you would feel SO much better...

(Zone 7b)

I don't eat anything in my yard my animals have no fear of being eaten here.

Not that i don't believe in folks eating their chickens or rabbits what yall do in yalls yard is yalls business LOL

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

I do eat jelly beans, but not THE Jelly Bean!

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

ROFLOL!!!!!!

(Zone 7b)

I love the gourmet Jelly Beans so many flavors "Yummy"

Jelly Bean is over the eating bunnys shock and doing well.

Chesapeake, VA

Wasn't there a scene from 'Peter Pan' when everybody was saying something together, to bring Tinker Bell back from the brink?

So...according to the thread, Jelly Bean is practically comatose, due to all this eating talk...so what can we say to bring Jelly Bean back?

Let's say it together..."VEGETARIAN!!!! VEGETTARIAN!!!!...."

Or, is there something better to chant?

(Zone 7b)

LOL!!
