and not really sure who/what this is...

Looks like a hawthorn to me ;-)

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Oh you are sooooo funny Resin!! :)

Kissimmee, FL(Zone 9b)

Well it may be a hawthorne - but it has some nice red bits in it!

Wilmar, AR(Zone 8a)

Towhees must be tough for everyone. Here a pic of one I watched/listened to under a pile of brush for quite awhile before it finally hopped up where I could get a pic. This would be a great pic except for the twigs!

Hey that's a pretty good one! They are very hard as the tend to stay hidden in or under brush or way up in the trees singing in the spring and summer!

Northumberland, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

Was digging through my pics to look for any worth putting on BirdFiles and found this one . . . which I didn't add to the Files . . . can anyone beat this for a bad pic?!?

It's supposed to be a Wilson's Phalarope

Resin

Ooooo, wow...that is BAD!! lol

Marlton, NJ

LOL nanny! Yes I'm pretty sure that no one could get an ID from that. :-)

Rockport, TX(Zone 9a)

Look how close I got to getting the orange crown of an orange-crowned warbler! Darn!

Thumbnail by Elphaba
Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

oooo, you can almost kind of, sort of, see it right there!! Good shot Elphaba

Kissimmee, FL(Zone 9b)

Elph it's still better than what I could have done!

Rockport, TX(Zone 9a)

I doubt that seemama! Still, it's better than Resin's worst pic up there! Actually, Resin, I had some pics that were much worse than that one!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Nice pic of the screen....

OMG! Is he caught between the screen and the window? That's so cool!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Couldn't figure a way to take the pic thru the window and not get a reflection.

last one... not caught just sitting on the ledge of the bathroom window on a very cold day. Must of had some heat escaping.

cheapo windows! lol

Carson City, NV(Zone 6b)

He looks pretty cozy there! If your camera accepts filters you can sometimes get rid of reflection with a circular polarizer.

This guy was on my neighbor's roof eating some small animal. I got the binoculars out but didn't have the right camera and I jusst couldn't figure out the right combination of binocular focus and camera focus.

Makes ya wonder whats up on your roof, huh? Nice try tho.

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

At least I'm not alone in this kind of photo.

This American Crow didn't like me taking its photo. I yelled for him to wait a second, but he flew off.

Duc, that's a great one for next year's headless halloween birds! Love the legs!

Kat, cool attempt!

Carson City, NV(Zone 6b)

Yeah nanny, for all I know my garage roof has some choice vole morsels hidden up there. It's a frustrating bird to photograph because it rarely sits still for long.

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

I just got another one. This American Robin had just gobbled down a berry from the Toyon tree.
