Morning all, we had quite the day, up early to finish our project and must say it looks good...
Edited to say:
ok.ok. so you can see the grove in the panelling..shows more here on the photo, you'd have to be looking for it as you walk down the hall...lol...Betty says if we visit next year, we'll drywall the entire hall..can she drywall..you bet..did her basement last year and did some pretty textured designs over it..
We're not sure yet who we are visiting next, but maybe we'll bring that learning experience in decorating along with us and perhaps there is a wall or 2 we can do...lol

Mid afternoon after playing 'sewing a rag quilt top' we went to Greg's home...a surprise "40th" birthday party...met so many friends/family of Betty's....can't post them all but will post a photo of Greg walking in...surprise/surprise...lorday we like surprises...
Because of all the partying Kyle came home with us...the lads are sound asleep with him...
When it was bedtime, we all had a laugh..notice anything about the headboard....
ohhh...how cool!! It's painted on the wall!
When they say 'decorating a dime' Betty took it for cash...faux finishes all over the house....
We're mellow today, Betty can't seem to warm up so spending the day on the couch watching t.v.-finally a day of rest...
We're off to work tomorrow....
Been keeping Betty busy most of the day...trying to help her pick oil colors for her new project..girl just doesn't listen...
Managed to decide on a few flowers, now to get painting...no sooner are we thinking 'painting flowers' are we into the new magazine she had to buy on her way into work this morning...slow process..
On our way home Betty stopped at a driveway and explained that although some think it's tackey, she thinks the person who takes so much time and energy to create a setting for each and every occassion i.e. start of school, start of summer, Christmas etc. etc. should be commended..not a day goes by that Betty is looking for what the new scene with teddy bears will be...

Have the lads been to White Lake yet? I seem to remember that place was on the list but my addled brain isn't great these days.
Ann - Any idea where the lads go next. I know that Newfoundland is on the list but thought that White Lake was also?????????? I'm not sure if the person who put together the list kept a copy.

I am not even sure who all has had the boys!! Betty, was there not a list in their box? There is supposed to be a travel list with addresses that accompany them. Let me know. I have a SORT of list, although there are a few addresses that I never received.
As far as I know, diggindirt is still a member, and is on the list to receive the boys, as well as ToddBoland.

Just checking to see if there is anyone else out there who would like to host the boys??? Perhaps someone we missed??? They can probably make their way across the country again, maybe hitting more places during the GOOD weather(if there is such a thing!! : - ) Any thoughts??

Morning all, Bullwinkle here...lordy we're already sewing, Betty though perhaps if she left us with this sitter, scissors for all, that by the time she arrives home we'll have that rag quilt done...so she thinks!
Good thing that Elaine outfitted them so well or they'd be sewing up new clothes for sure.
Betty, I'm sure I included all the pages that came with the box, perhaps under the bubble pack at the very bottom of the box?

Sure is...
We're snowed in this morning..Betty had hoped we could take a quick run into Midland before she started to work but not to be...roads and drive haven't been plowed, if municipal plow goes through she'll not be able to get to work until it does...
Not so sure we'd like to live in this neck of the woods...
But it did allow us to do crafts..we're gaining ground of the rag quilt..lol..no sewed fingers /paws as yet..
Betty has apologize so many times for not being able to get us out visiting more but we understand...with work..storms..it was better we stay safe...
I, Bullwinkle was sure trying to escape outside while Betty was making breakfast...just grabbed my garb and in I came..
Me and the lads wanted to picnic outside... a breakfast out in the elements, in the cold Canadian winter...as you see by the unfocused camera it was just toooo cold...
In we came for a Canadian Breakfast...feast fit for a king and queen...had it in her french cafe room...
