i like that peachy sinningia you posted,Dont get rid of it,somebody might be hitting you up for a start come spring,LOL

JIM

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I think both Bonnie and Jan have that peachy propeller.......or are you talking about the speciosa, Jim? I am going to let all of them open and see what keepers there are........but I will include a purple peloric that has already bloomed, Gran.

You know that you can take either a cutting off the top and still grow the tuber again.............or both.........
I am going to keep the apricot or peach colored sinningia..........just to see what the second year will bring.....so can have a tuber or a cutting for you , Jim, is that is what you are talking about.

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

Nope don't worry she is going no where except for a topping in the nicer weather.... Imadigger, thanks and I also like the varigated ones for the same reason...
Hugs,
Sue

You love those little bitty pretty sinningias, don't you, Jan!

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Jan--do you have the latin name for S. Star Eyes? I have eagerly waiting for S.Concinna to bloom, which it did yesterday. Turns out it is S. Pusilla--now I have 2 Pusilla and no concinna--the foliage is the same for both.

Andalusia, AL(Zone 8b)

I do !! Mico's...Mini's.....Mid size...Large....S.speciosa's....I'm hopelessly addicted to these plants. LOL.^_^

Jasper, AR(Zone 7a)

Too sweet!-- I got my first mico-mini's (bright eyes & concinna)a couple weeks ago-- I can see how addictive they would be!!

Andalusia, AL(Zone 8b)

Hi phoebesviolets,I just looked up star eyes I guess it would be Sinn.Wood Nymph x S.pusilla

http://www.gesneriads.ca/sinnin57.htm

How old is your plant? A good freind told me it takes 3 bloom cycles to see if they are blooming true.

Hillbilly,They sure are addictive but oh so cute!

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Duh--had just read that, but was focused on figuring out why my concinna looked like my pusilla. It is the second bloom for pusilla, first for concinna---so it could subsequently bloom true? I know with AV's, sometimes the first bloom can be a little off. Guess I'll just have to wait...

Ottawa, IL(Zone 9a)

here is concinna, looks quite different from most of the micro's
