DH and I signed up for Netflix on a Saturday (Jan 10th) and got our 1st DVD on Monday (Jan 12th)---impressive!!! We dropped the movie channels from Direct TV and had been renting DVD's from the library but a lot of them were/are damaged PLUS we became addicted to the NCIS tv series and the library does not carry any of the seasons.

I ordered the complete NCIS season series 1-5 from a DVD sales site on the internet for my DH for Christmas and never rec'd it. Ripped me off for $109.95 and come to find out since I had ordered that other ppl ordering from the same site were also bamboozled. At the time I ordered I should have rec'd the DVD set in time for Christmas and the CO did not have any negative feedback---now that I've (and other ppl) have been suckered for nothing I found out that NF has the NCIS series --- that's the main reason we joined. We have over 100 items in our queue and there's more that we add on when we think of it. HOORAY for Netflix!!!

We have been very pleased with our Netflix, too. Can't get over the turn around time on these. I'm waiting till April to see what we will do then. Once Spring/Summer come we watch very little TV so I'm thinking I can cancel my Netflix and pick it back up in the fall. I have been checking out the Movie Channels and haven't found much that I'm really interested in watching and if I do, I just add that to my Netflix queue.

I have been with netflix for years. Very happy customer.

I just discovered and purchased the Netflix Player by Roku.

One can stream movies directly into the TV, wireless or with ethernet cable.

Plus another person can watch another movie streaming on the PC.

All possible with a basic membership. I dropped from a five out to a three out.

All movie channels and satellite better watch out, here comes the future....

I think many people do not watch in the summer. You can put your membership on hold for a couple months. This way when you start back up it is just a click. You also keep all your movies that you want to watch in your list.

The turnaround time is amazing, esp with us being in the sticks. You can depend on a movie being here the day after you mail the old one. I get emails stating they received a DVD at 7am the next morning after mailing.

The only time we have not received a DVD on time was when we had 16" of new snow in one evening. Mail did not come that day.

my daughter lives across the country in a very small house--so at christmas she doesn't want to bring lots of "stuff" back on the air plane to a house that doesn't have room for it! plus she just isn't into having stuff--so we gave her a year subscription to netflix and it was a fun gift--now we can talk movies together too

Love my Netflix....I just finished watching Bogie & Bacall in To Have and Have Not, 1944. Wow!

Oh, gotta go. Next up is Bogie & Bacall in Dark Passage, 1947.
