I'm jealous, one of my favorite places. Only got to stay 2 weeks. That's where I got the bug, in Hawaii.
What weird weather we're having #7
I really like this picture. This is a pic that I took of Sassy, She lives at the this house which is one that I do some landscaping/gardening stuff for.
Nice pics as usual. Sassy is one strange looking dog. LOL Loveable strange you understand.
The water drip is neat.
Hope you don't have to be at work early tomorrow.
Sassy is strange looking. She's not my dog. But yes, she's very sweet. Especially when I'm there because then she knows that she can be out and run around so long as she comes back when i call her.
Thank goodness no! I don't have to be to work until 9 am tomorrow morning. Wed, morning I think 6am. But, it's all better than 4 am!
this I took up at their place on the 18th. Sassy didn't want to come out that day... go figure!
That was probably the day our garage cat wouldn't come out.
How's the heating pad working.....still getting raccoons?
the heating pad is working great! what a great idea. the raccoons seem to be a little ditsracted by the dog being here. But, as soon as Shadow goes home, they'll be back!
have a great day tomorrow! good night all.
It was so nice of Sassy to take off her gloves to have her picture taken. Hee-hee.
I'm with Porter, I'll let someone else be the trailblazer.
Love your weather picture. Sassy is cute and the area she is standing in is great.
Red, wonderful pictures as always.
zhinu, I received my print today. It is so beautiful. I thank you.
I'm glad you like it! I'm so happy that my artwork is being appreciated and shared.
Sally..thanks for the Snipe ID. He was very pretty ..almost olive green with yellowish edging on the back feathers. I will have to check out the large neighborhood pond when the weather warms up.
Would love to see more of these birds.
Thanks to All. Sassy will love to know that you think that she's cute! Thanks Willow, unfortunately the pond/stream isn't working right now, that's the area of rocks behind Sassy. Fortunately, that thing is really not in my department. I do some of the arranging of the stones around it, but the rest of it is theirs to deal with.... thank goodness!! But, It's really pretty when the stream is going.
Tricia, I concur with Porters' philosophy!
My DIL sent me this one, it's really fun for doggie people.

I can't believe, I got lost going to work to avoid a steep hill. I now nothing about the streets in the city LOL Have no idea how I ended up in place I never hear of and can't remember where It was, but I got to work after 45 min. LOL I need a Map Thingy for the car.
Have A Happy Christmas, in case I get lost again
Hugs To You All.
Sally, that video is really cute! thanks for sharing it.
Tilly, what a trip that you had getting to work! I guess that if it saved you from sliding back down the hill, maybe it was worth it!! It sounds as if you learned something new about your area, so that's good. You'll have to go back there some time when you know where your going! Good luck next time! and get a map!
Happy Holidays everyone!
I'm up way too late, but DH is in bed and I have to finish getting ready for tomorrow since I don't drive. Assuming the rain comes and the roads are reasonably driveable tomorrow I'll be gone till the 26/27th depending on when I get on. If you looked at the weather right now you would assume we weren't going, but I really hope it works out, I'd hate to not be able to make it up to Port Angeles tomorrow. Here is a picture of the weather now; it's not great, but you can see it somewhat.
All of you who have to drive around to get to work have my sympathy - it is one thing to want to get to the market but to have to get to work is a much larger burden! Especially when your boss is not being flexible with the bad conditions. Yeah I really want to get some pecans to make vanilla pecans but at least I don't need to be somewhere at a certain time. My hat is off to all of you! Tilly you are so funny!
It is still snowing here - just does not stop. My daughter arrived yesterday via the airport and a few more kids arrive today. So far so good!
Wishing everyone a very happy (and safe) Christmas. Take care!
Today is a day for everyone to take care. I hope everyone arrives safely at their destinations!
Love the doggie video. We had five more inches last night and it is still snowing. No guests for us for Christmas Eve or Day. It's a good thing we learned to be flexible.
Temp 37 deg...having a heat wave! Snow melting very quickly at the lower elevations. It is a big sloppy mess in town. Found my second casuality of the snow. First my snowman and now my beautiful bird bath. The top piece must have frozen and in is now in 4 pieces on the ground. I recieved this birdbath from my late Aunt as a house warming gift when I bought my first house. She loved birds. Her favorite was cardnials. It is not repairable, so I hope I can find a replacement somewhere. If not I suppose I can set a pot of wave petunia's on the pedistal in the summer.
It has been pouring snow here all day. We lost power for about two hours. PUD said a tree fell on the lines somewhere. Once they found it, it was quickly repaired. A nice man stopped by to see if we wanted him to shovel our driveway. He knew our names but neither of us recognized him. We must be old enough now to be on the check list. ^_^
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate that holiday. Happy Hanukkah for those who are celebrating that one. Super Solstice (or whatever you would say) to those celebrating the turn of the season, and have a great time with family and friends to all, and to anyone celebrating any other holiday, or just enjoying your life and time with your people and pets.
So sorry about your birdbath, Bea.
Willow, glad you got your power back.
Tilly, glad you are found and not lost anymore. Everything looks different in the snow.
Zhinu, safe trip. I think the main roads and the interstate should be good, though I don't know about the smaller highways on the peninsula. Be careful on the bridges. It's getting warmer. Yippee!!
Thanks Maury.. Maybe Santa will fix it for me when he visits tonight!
Merry Christmas to all!
Road and streets here are slush and chunky ice, miserable to try driving on....a good night to sit by the fire with a good movie.....so that is what Bill and I are doing. Had a good Christmas celebration with my side of the family today....Laura and her family, my son, nephew, mother and my husband. Laura and family left around 1:30...leaving a very worried Mum here. She did call around 6:30 to say they had arrived safely so now I can relax get ready for tomorrow evening with all the In-laws. This will be our first ever Christmas without Laura here.....and the first time in many many years that we have had snow on the ground on Christmas Day.
So on this beautiful Christmas Eve....Hanukkah, Kwanza, Solstice......or what ever you may celebrate or chose not to celebrate I wish you Peace, Health and Happiness now and in the year to come.
Well said zhinusmom.....If I may, I'll just wish everyone the same.
I concur with Tricia as well!
What ever you celebrate this season: may it be safe, may it be festive, and all that it should be!
My neighbor told me tonight that this is the first time since 1861 that Seattle's had snow on the ground on Christmas Day.
Happy celebrations, everybody.
Now that is one long standing record!
I want to know who took the time to measure the weather in 1861. Probably his wife asked him to go out and get firewood, but the weather was his priority. LOL
and he came back in with a sheet of paper, pen and no wood! :-p
ROFL
Celebrate your holiday with joy and peace, and let us remember all those who have not been so fortunate this past year. And let us not just remember them, but take action in the year to come. It's going to be a great year!
Happy Holidays!
OMG Portland!....... what are you doing up at this time?! Hopefully something fun! The same to you as well!
Laura called this morning, she probably won't be able to get on while up North so she asked to Join me in wishing all of you
A Very Merry Christmas, be Safe and Warm!!!
Very icy, but starting to thaw a bit and we have blinding Sunshine this morning! Could you ask for a more beautiful Christmas Morning??!!?!?
