I have a brother-in-law and cousin Harold. I have a Rodney, An uncle George and cousin George. hmmm who else? (thinking)
Angora Goats From Rescue
My great grandmother was Mattie Grace.
My grandmother was Fermer and her sister was Germer (nope i didn't miss spell it.)
Oh man, after reading this thread I want a goat so much more than I already did! I REALLY need to get out of this crappy apartment and out toward the country (only like 20 miles away) so I can have chickens and goats and dogs and ducks and rabbits!
My grandma was Edith and Grandpa was Claire.
Mildred was the other grandmas name.
Fermer and her sister was Germer (not a typo huh?) wow.
Mother-in-law is Gladys and father-in-law was Marvin.
Those old names are great to name pets. No offense ment.
One of my grandfathers was Arthur Leslie. I'm named after him. Yupper I'm the girl version of the boy named 'Sue'. I should legally change my name to Dahlianut. I wonder how one goes about that?
Well, Claire is our legal counsel. We will put that on the docket for when she returns.
I am named after my Uncle Gene as well.
My great-grandmother was named George Columbia, went by Georgie. Does that count?

I met a woman named Pandora.
George Columbia is a keeper name for sure. I wish I had met Great-Aunt Georgie. Did she like rocks?
She lived up to every last whit jot tittle iota of that name and kept all in line... Rocks were beneath her, to be made to obey and otherwise ignored!!
I TOTALLY luv mythology Pandora is a very powerful mythical name. Cassandra is too. I like the part about the snakes licking her ears so she could hear the future. I was thinking of trying that to understand all animal languages. I speak cat and quite a few wild bird languages but I would like to speak them all. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassandra
I thought it was cool too. I'm trying to remember the name of another lady I met this year. It was pretty unusual also.
My dad's name is Darden, his sister is Dimple (not a nickname), a brother named Virgil, another named Loyd with one 'L'. I had a neighbor named Aura, knew a Pearl. Some of the old Hispanic names are really beautiful... Esmerelda, Ignacio, Filadelfio, Placido, Fortuna. And my book buddy is named Shirley, our post mistress is Ida, our mail carrier is Tranquilino and the neighbor across the road is Augustina. The guy who loads my hay is Russel, his brother Marty buys it.
So many cool names out there, without having to name a kid 'Rainbow Golden Eagle'. Honest, I worked in med records for a short while and somebody blessed their kid with that one. Oh... like the boy down the road who is named 'Peaches'. Poor kid. It's not a nickname. I'll bet he can't wait to reach legal age...
Oh ya, peaches is grounds for a law suite. Call Claire!
A friend of mine is Native American, her childrens names are, Jayden Rain and Misty Sky.
I bet you see some really cool (and not so cool) names in records!
Mostly I was just filing as fast as I could, but every now and then one would catch my eye. But that one made it all the way into the break room. LOL
I think there should be a punishment for parents who do the 'combo' name thing. I have known a:
Merry Christmas
Chuck Wagon
Jim Nasium
Oh yes, definately! I am sure the kids would sighn the petition!
This requires confession. My son is Garrick Rane. Garrick is spear king in Gaelic and Rane is just a twist on the rain that I love....(me trying to make it more unique) Months after the naming, my mother pulls out a bodice ripper with the main character's name as Rane Garrick. I swear I coulda puked.
I think is perfectly fine Jenks because it doesn't count when it's backwards.
Oh that was not intent! It makes a diference I think.
Though I did get a chuckle from it Jenks!
My father begged to call him Rick. I refused. Now that he's in High School - it's beyond control - even though he said they were idiots for calling him that before we moved here (because GARRICK is just not comprehend-able apprently). It's OK now. These folks are not idiots. Seriously.
I kinda like the name. I know a lot of Garrets but not Garrick.
I met a Dick Dick once. Really. I asked the guy, "Not Richard Dick?" No, Dick Dick. OMG! Did his mother name him after his father? LOL
The angora goats look so white and soft. I want to pet the computer screen! If you ever get to weaving I will totally buy some of your wool for knitting!
I'm afraid to say it, but I work with someone who has the same first name as last. It's not american though, so at least it's not Richard or - that reminds me of a band I tried to name with the last name Noggins and the first was Richard. It just didn't flow.....
Egg Noggins?
It's like Egg Egg. Or Jenks Jenks.... :D It's too unique for me to post.
Richard is long for Dick?
And a Noggin is your head?
Further proof that it was not very clever! LOL
hehehe
Noggin! I am drinking some nog...no... gin! LOL
Have a great night!
Noooo! Dick is short for Richard... LOL
Yup, I think noggin is now a verb and a very good idea. I'm a goin' noggin tonight! LOL
I'm just wine'in (hic) tonight ^_^ Merry Christmasy happy noggins and stuffins and kissins tonight and chocolates too ^_^
Hi Meg! Yes, we will definitely be shearing and hopefully learning to spin and I will be trying to make some different yarns with angora and angora/llama blends. :-)
