Bev, I am not a techie by means, but because you have 2 subjects and one is closer than the other, it makes it hard for the camera to focus.

I ain't giving any of them up either Elphaba!! lol

Here is a duo I never thought I would get...a Brown Creeper on the left and a Red-bellied Woodpecker!

Beautiful White-throated Sparrows Met. I had my first one in the yard this morning but the only pics I got were through the window (not very good ones either)!

Nanny...I have the same problem...if a hawk gets close I can never get a good pic!!

Darn...the sun finally came out and I have to drive to Rogersville for tractor parts...oh well, maybe I'll see some birds.

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

Lovely all. Our sun is gone now. Boo. Apparently 6 eagles here today but I did not get out.

Love the carolina wrens you guys. I've never seen one here. Maybe not wooded enough. Cornell and my NEW (ahem) National Geographic guide both show them as year-round here.

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

Say, that reminds me. Where's NM Jane and her cute cactus wrens?

Marlton, NJ

Isn't Jane the one with the roadruner or is that angele?

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

Wowie Rose, great shots, look at the colors of that Starling and the Red-winged Blackbird, and Cowbird and and.................
Nice Phoebe, and White throated Sparrow.
Pelle, great details.
You have a knack for rounding up the birds Nanny. Cute little Brown Creeper. Maybe your Mourning Doves has come up here for the winter. I'm getting a lot this year.
Dragonfly, the blue jay is so nice.
Had a lot of birds today, why you might ask? Because it was lousy out there today. Snow storm turn to Ice storm and suppose to turn back to snow storm.
Here's a few Icy shots for you.

We got up to 65 degrees today but w/ dark skies and rain but it was so nice not to have on multiple layers and a heavy winter coat.

Mrs. Ed -- the squirrels were right! IT'S SNOWING IN HOUSTON!!! The last time I was in town when it snowed here was at least 15 years ago! I think it snowed a year or two ago while I was away for x-mas. Still, very rare! I have to get back out there and cover more plants. There was no warning at all about a hard freeze.

Lovely pics everyone! Love that sparrow Methodical! Wish I'd gotten that good a pic of mine!

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

aaaaaaaaahhhhh Elphy! Linda over on the butterfly forum thanked ME for sending snow down there!

I can't remember if that was angele or NM jane now! Yah, wonder how old RUDY is doing.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

WE seemed to have lost a few along the way...where did they all go?? Yes What became of Rudy...didn't it have a mate last time or chicks...I did try to dmail original_sybil but no response back.

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

I think people are still around, maybe after the holidays it will pick up. Probably when we have lots of snow on the ground, they will be there to show us the warm weather!
