I had a surprise visitor at the feeder today. I hope now that they found it they will come by on a regular basis. I usually just get a quick glimpse of one now & then in the winter.

Here's a just ID'd Northern Flicker. The pic is not that great but this bird was way up in the tree and far away with branches causing the focusing to reek havoc. But I knew it was a bird I'd never seen so I was determine to get a pic.

My birding is starting to get some variety now. Yay.

You just go along and all of a sudden it will just sort of explode open...just have to learn to see with "new eyes"!

A Carolina Chickadee yesterday...it was nice and sunny in the morning but it was sooo cold out and then clouded up.
