i just used a heat pac called uniheat, the package says you don't have to shake it, just open & expose to air, well it took 1/2 hour for that thing to start to get warm & thats just barely, & i did shake it. it's been 1 hour & it's just warm to the touch. i don't think i will purchase these again, as this is the second one that did this in this past week.

I know you have had trouble with the Uniheat's.
So it seems the group is torn between Uni and the Heat Source? This has turned out to be very interesting, and with everyone searching for the better prices etc. This is really neat!!
Ok, on my Epis. today is day 2 with the light on them. Either its wishful thinking or I see a little improvment in the Faded jade??!! Will try to take some camparasion pics either tonight or tomorrow!! Thanks again for the help!!!
I used uniheat and baked some episcias...............today I taped it to the top of the box and then put insulation under it..........to protect the plants.........

Yes-- heat rises-- but most likely-- knowing USPS-- this box will travel upside down anyway-- so all is well ^_^

I just wanted to thank all of you for all the help with my plants. They are perking up, Im not sure if the one will live through it. But they are looking better. I will try to get to posting a few pictures, it may be after christmas. Hopefully they will look a lot better by then!!! I think they could have died with out all of your help!!
