I just found out my new camera is not coming today as promised....or even this week. It was shipped out via the slow road just today.:-( :-(

Google "camera model name"+"manual" online for it & then get to studying!
(by "camera model name" obviously you gotta put in you camera model's name, not those words exactly. Don't forget the +"manual" ... If you need help lemme know and I'll search it for you)

I guess it would be too late to contact them and have them expedite the shipping . . . or is there a clause in the "small print" that says shipping delays due to merchant availability is not their responsibiliity? You were given a Delivery Date - it is not your fault that the supplier didn't have them ready. They should not have been sold until they were in stock, in the warehouse!

I have a Canon Powershot A630 that my DH got me a couple of years ago ... I still haven't learned all the features. I need somebody to make a camera with a brain that can read my mind, a camera I can speak to and tell it to take a perfect picture, and have it happen! LOL. I can't take a decent picture for the life of me. If one turns out halfway decent it's just pure luck!
That's the one I have too.
Just put it on auto for most things.
For closeups put it on portrait, then the flower and you can get some pretty good shots.
OUI!....Already overwhelmed! What made me think this was a good idea? OH Yeah.....I'm a sucker for pics of flowers and pets! OUI-OUI-OUI!

Mine came with 4 on paper, with the Owners Manual on cd. The ones on paper were all basic - one in English, Spanish, German, and one with about 20 different languages . . . but that was only in reference to the battery.

Mine makes cute little beeping noises . . . I've been practicing with it at work today, so maybe I'll be better on the pix at home . . . last night and this morning they were a bit blurry!
The camera likes my flowers, but wont take pics of my fish--huh?
I'm having issues with lighting . . . the colors of the blooms aren't coming out right. But . . . I DID just find a "flower" setting here a little bit ago, so I will take a few pix when I get home tonite and see how they turn out.
I am soooo clueless here! My first shots all came out blurry, took me forever just to figure out how to upload...and still not sure... here's the least worst.
Ok--that was bad--still working on settings--it looked a little better on the upload screen. I'll try one of the fish....who won't sit still! LOL

Hey, you are doing great with that new camera! The first bloom is a bit blurry but the pic's of the fish are great! I seem to get blurry up close shots of blooms when they are under the lights ... and the lights from the stands cause an awful glare sometimes too. I just am not so good at photography. I always want to blame the camera ... had my DH look at it a couple of nights ago because it just didn't seem like anything was coming out right ... he said the settings were fine, it must have been me, LOL. I know whenever I try to take a picture with the viewfinder window thingy open, the screen flashes that the camera is shaking! LOL ... I guess I don't have very steady hands.
You know, I think my camera is trying to tell me the same thing! It beeps at me alot, and flashes little notes on the window!

the last one looks pretty good to me--I just thought--Haven't seen a thing on this camera that says Macro--is there a setting for that? I know it is a feature.
My Canon Powershot A630 has a little photo of a flower on the back of the camera ... from reading the book, that is the macro button .. I still haven't figured how it works though!
On mine, there is a round button with 4 pictures - at 12, 3, 6, and 9. One of them is a flower - that seems to mean "macro" on digital cameras. It was set up like that on my old one, just the pictures were in a different order.

Arrrgh! I should have bought Ice Cream when I went to the grocery store today! Oh well, I will be out and about tomorrow shopping so will remember to pick it up. My DH is giving final exams all day tomorrow so I am planning a Saturday of shopping!

The AV in that last pic may be Optimara Milennia. It fits the Optimara description to a "t", but does not quite match the FC2 description. I did see another AV at Lowe's a few weeks ago that DID match the FC2, so I may go back and see if it is still there.

Oh, you are so good to actually work out! I wish I was younger, I would get into the habit of exercising! If I tried doing a crunch I think my heart would give out! (From Shock!) I have always been so bad about doing anything strenuous! As I age, I get worse. About 5 years ago we bought one of those Total Gym's ... for a long time it sat in the bedroom next to the French Doors looking out on the pool area ... oops ... no wait, that was the treadmill which ended up becoming a clothes rack and we finally gave it to a friend! The Total Gym is flattened and up against a wall collecting dust! ^_^
MOTIVATION ... I need some MOTIVATION! LOL.
Maybe I should make a deal with myself ... a scoop of ice cream ... 30 minutes on the Total Gym .... another scoop of ice cream, 45 minutes on the Total Gym ...
