My first pic sent over 2 yrs ago, out of a Sunrise Mixed pkt, 1999
Some know it's name, I don't. I loved this one because the foliage was as pretty
as the flowers.

I love when they bloom in winter, they look like miniature glories..
I love the cold weather crinkle look! :-) Nice, brillant I. purpurea colors! :-)
Love it! Looks like mine did this summer! ;)
gardenpom - Your fence with all the vines is beautiful!!! :-)
gardenpom what is the name of the flower in this pic, http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=5859853
great Color!~~! ..all my flowers have been getting smaller I'd guess due to the temps hitting 40's at night...sigh...These are some Great colors all, Becky, GardenPom and you too Patootie!
Love the tie dye effect Becky, pink from the cooler weather maybe?
:D
Thanks Darren. Becky great blooms.
Yippee for the Blue Star seed pods.
Darren - Gardenpom's dark pink bloom looks like Crimson Rambler: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/51631/
That was sold in a mixed pack of seeds, but they all are sold under numerous names. Crimson Rambler would be an odd name for a pink flower.
MGMan, That's a beauty.
That's one stunningly HOT vine!

Welcome to the world of MG marketing...
WOW! Love the very beautiful colours and blooms.. keep them coming!
Well, this warmer weather (almost 80s during the day), is producing some surprises for me. Most of the current grow-out is about done, but low and behold ... some of the vines are producing blooms still! Go figure. Some are even sprouting more vine branches and leaves from the bottom of the vine. HA! I wasn't expecting that at all. Now if the seed production would kick into high gear, it would be perfect! LOL! (Most likely won't happen, though.)
Here is Heian Umi x Rose Silk. TWO blooms today! And you can see the wilted bloom from yesterday. LOL! Looks like a new start vine, but it's not. The extended vine on this has withered and died, but it is producing new growth from the bottom of the vine! Surprise, surprise! :-)
And I was blown away that Hanafubuki bloomed today. This poor vine looks awful. The foliage has suffered from the Rust attack and I figured this baby was pretty much dead. HA! It showed me to never say "goner"! LOL! Two blooms also! Wow ... I wished this one had given me some seeds. What few seeds it was producing were hit by beetles which ate my seeds! Grrrr ... I'll probably grow this one again next Spring.
And Blue Star seems to have kicked into high gear with the blooms again! This vine and the Moonflower vines have sure surprised me. I never thought either would like the cooler weather here. Seems to make them happy and blooming up a storm! I counted 4 blooms on the Moonflower last night too. The combo of these two cultivars has really impressed me. Definitely will be growing both (together) again!!!!
Tony - Your Mega vine is awesome! What a beaut! Do you know what the cultivar is? It looks like an I. nil! How many vines did you have growing? Or is that just one vine? If it is just one ... then I'm really impressed! You must have some great soil in that location! :-)
Also I was going back through my dmails and I don't remember if I ever sent you seeds? I think I was waiting on your choices...
Added: Oh DUH! I just read that your vine was "Heian No Akatsuki". That's what I get for skimming! LOL! Your vine is outstanding for that cultivar! Put me on your list for a few seeds, please! :-)

Believe it or not, this is just a single plant. Just take a look at the picture of the trunk. I pinched the vine back every 2-3 weeks making it more vigorous :-)
