I love sunsets, all of them.
Yours are all beautiful.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

All very nice.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks, Victor.

I love sunsets, too, Bev. I try to take my camera with me wherever I go, as you never know when you will come upon something worthy of photographing. I hate it when I miss out on a great photo opportunity because I forgot my camera.

Hi RC

Thank gawd we have heat.

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

12 deg. Jo Ann? that's cold. Hopefully it's supposed to get above freezing for you today.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I'm done with gardening ,the weather can do what it wants.
Pirl and I are waiting for the long promised new online catalogue from RosyDawn today.
She is still out there transplanting, she lives on Long Island about 800 miles south so she goes on.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Oh my goodness, I take two days away (first time away from my mom in almost three years) and look at all these pics. It is hard to keep up. Great shots everyone. Shrubs, snow and sunsets. All are very pretty. I particularly like that nandina Victor, I guess I have another for the some day shrub list.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Freezing here, too. It's 17 here now, and only gonna get into the 20's today. But go figure, it's gonna get up to 60 on Wed. with rain. Oh, well, what can you do? Wish I was anyplace warm right now.

Think w have problems?
Take a look at Venice

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Okay, a great reason for not moving to Venice!

Karen

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

I can swim. I'd live there for the food.

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

It would be a sad loss if Venice were to "sink." With sea levels rising, I can only imagine they are in for a long term battle.

I like where I am, for good or for ill, the more you go south, the more dangerous the tiny critters get, the more north, the longer without any summer .....

I seem to notice a trend of those who complain about the cold also being those who walking around in sandals and a light wind breaker! I barely notice the cold in my warm boots and downy winter jacket (that goes past the waist!).

Ok ... time to shovel the walk (again) for my neighbors and the post person .......

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Venice has been sinking for years.
There are engineers who have tried a solution but none comes forth.
It will go the way of Atlantice someday.
I cant get over how many ways the venecians cope with it.

I wont ever see it unless it goes super sonic jet miles per hour across the ocean!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

I don't know if I'll ever see it, either. Would like to visit someday.

Karen

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Might be a great scuba vacation. Silly to keep fighting to maintain cities that are below sea level!

My luck I would swin into an elevator and the door would close.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Its been years since I saw any plans to fix it.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

All the comments crack me up...... How healthy is it to be eating the food from those shops that are flooded??? ick

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

I was wondering that same thing, Jen!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

eeeeeeeeeew. I didn't think about that. Based on the condition of the canals in spring and summer I might just erp

Thomaston, CT

Lovely photos! Sunsets were spectacular! Love Patches, Karen. She looks like my GSP cross.

You got me with the frozen pond again. I dont know how Im going to paint it but it deserves a try.
Also up there with the best is the Pieris.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks. Paint away! It really has an abstract beauty when you see it in person. 'Frozen' in many ways.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Suspended animation was the phrase that was eluding me.

That picture would make one heck of a puzzle!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

There is a painter who can capture the deep pond water effect. Wish I knew how he does it.http://www.josephraffael.com/index.php
Joseph Raphael.
Those colors are enchanting.
I cant paint flowers all the time.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

All the water garden 'experts' recommend cutting the water lilies in the fall but I love to leave them for this reason.

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)
