Cute shots Burn and Nanny. If you don't enlarge the view, your pic looks perfect Nanny!

I had high hopes for the shots of this Cooper's Hawk yesterday, but he was just too high up in the tree.

LOL...Then be sure to share with us okay!

Rockport, TX(Zone 9a)

Well, it's too dark today and I took these pics through the dirty window. Window isn't dirty enough though as I found a dead sparrow under it yesterday. Anyway, I'm guessing orange-crowned warbler just b/c it has no distinguishing marks! I'm not cropping it at all, so you'll have to look for the bird! Isn't it amazing how it blends in.

This wren blends in pretty well too!

Thanks Resin, I'll look it up and see if I can grow it. It looks like a great habitat for the birds and I need a big tree on my east facing slope.

Hairy ;-)

Note the pure white sides to the tail, with no black spots. Actually a very helpful photo for distinguishing the two!

Resin

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

LOL Resin it's more tan than pure white. But I know what you mean thanks.

Northumberland, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

Yeah, the snow does show its off-tone up, doesn't it! Maybe he's not had a good bath recently with the cold weather ;-)

No, no, that's WINTER white. You don't wear the real white after Labor day!

I have been watching this thread with delight. I have been filing through all of my photos and pulled this one from a month ago. I even brightened the photo from the original. Yes, it is a Nuthatch.
