I'm alive again. My DD brought over her little iMac for me to use. Looks like my mother board on my G4 is fried. Thank God, I kept all the important stuff on an external drive. Won't be able to do much on this machine though. She doesn't have Adobe Suites on it. Still have to configure my email account, etc. Looks like I will be Mac hunting too.
Cyber Arrangements
I hate to hear about the puter crashes, had that experience and know what a pain it can be. I lost everything the first time years ago, but learned and was much more prepared the second time around.
Glad you had things on an external drive and am sure your new Mac will be just what you want.
Well done Zany! that looks brilliant, love the colours and the background textures.
Dianne, good to hear you are alive!!!!!
Very cheerful colors zany, and well matched.
Thanks. I am a bit embarrassed because I posted the next to the last phase and deleted the last one that was touched up to get rid of the debris. I'll be more careful with the next try!
Very nice. Looks like you're having a good time. Can't get to my Adobe software yet to play around. I can at least get to DG and visit the forum. Keep up the good work.
Diana
I like the debris Zany, makes it look more arty!
Good to hear you are staying on the forum Dianne, hope you can get to play again soon!
You are both invited to the Chinese New Year celebrations!

Which is over here.
I really have to get busy. I haven't played in a long time and soon it will be back to working in the garden and no cyber just for real, so must focus and try to get somethin in here. Perhaps next few weeks while awaiting spring, meantime will enjoy your concoctions!
Thank you Candee!
Looking forward to seeing everyone's works of art!
" She's got the artichoke blues........... oh yeah,,, the artichoke blues...... "
I can hear Muddy Waters singing it!!!!
Muddy Waters! I had forgotten them. It is time to dig out the old album and digitalize it into an MP3.
Blossom, your double cyber wreath is lovely. Isn't it fun to create without worrying about reality? Only our imaginations can limit us in a cyber arrangement!
Nice creation blossom. I hope I can get back to the cyber arrangements soon, just don't know where the time goes, so until then will enjoy everyon's creations.
Hi Blossom, Very arty! I like the sketchy feel, looks like some mighty fine line drawing. Glad you found us.
Diana, is your computer still down? man...... we're singin' the blues!!!!!!
This is toooo addicting!! im still trying to figure out the cut and pasty method you guys did above!!! Guiess that would be my "layer" program to which I am totalling ignorant of at the moment!
~~~~~~
I'll be baaaaaaaack!
{{{in voice of Arnie Swertsen-egger!!! LOL! As hand goes into smelting pot!!!!}}} *g* cyber-impressions!! LOL!
Tada..... PhotoImpressions software ...neat program. There are even Greeting cards in it...
I still have not figured out how to do the copy and paste layerign thingee though..
Baaaack to the drawingboard.
Blossom, copy and paste is done with the capture tool. Use the tracing tool to select the portion you want and then select copy. Open a new picture or a blank one and paste it. From there you can move it around to where you want it.
Finally got my Adobe software installed. I used the little silver vase this time and dragged over my Illustrator drawing of a Pasture Rose. I had to ungroup the vector drawing and dragged the pieces into Photoshop layers. I added drop shadows to try to give it some depth. I had fun. Already thinking about the next one.
What a fabulous outcome you created. Love the vase and the flowers are perfect!
Will try the layers later... I got a busted pipe to contend with.. thanks for the hints though!
I think my PhotoImpression software is a tad more complicated, but I will try!!
Catch you all tomorrow.. er, when I best can. I got a reality nightmare here.
Nice arrangement Diana, the shadows look great! Very elegant!
Love the pic with the bubbles Blossom. Sorry about the pipe.
pastime, that looks great! I love the effect of the real with the painted.
Blossom, I am not familiar with the photoimpressions program. I usually use photoshop. I have a friend that uses nothing but mspaint and he can create more with that simple program than I can with the more advanced stuff. But it is a lot of fun playing with it all.
Well, the PhotoImpressions comes with a little tiny digital camera. The darned camera is the size of a credit card! I really have not messed much with the program. I do take a big bunch of pictures but I use another camera too.
I use the PhotoImpressions mainly to correct exposure, but now ya'll got me messing with the "surreal"!
Cool Daylily!
I feel like a hibernating bear and my office is my cave. DH is on the couch with a heating pad on his back. Too many buckets of warm water for the horse finally did him in. I'm sick of winter!
Made another cyber arrangement today, nothing better to do except clean the house. NOT!
I used my mom's old sugar bowl this time.
Thanks Terri!
Pastime, that is an awesonme arrangement!! I still have not figured out my cut and copy thing on my program yet, but I figured out how to mangle and de-arrange a flower!! LOL! What a way to do anger-management!! Cyberlily!
So you are bucketing hotwater to a horse? E-eeks.. now I feel like a heathen! LOL I spent today under the house in the crawl turning off the outdoor spigot to the water to the animals cause I had a busted pipe. My parking lot is flooded from it and it turned to ice, so now I have a very unwanted skating ring! And I had to drag a huge pile of garden hoses waaay out to the shelter to fill the trough for my eleven hooved beasts and then drained those hoses, stuffed them back in the shed so they would not freeze and they are enjoying all the COLD water I could muster today! I will be danged to bucket 500 gallons!! LOL! My guys are outdoors but have a run in shelter so they are a tough lot. Join the sick of winter club.. I had my fill two days in.
Be midsummer before we fix that disaster.. ugh. So looks like every 3-4 days I will be repeating the hose dragging exersize much to my arthretic chagrin! OY! So if ya find me posting twisted and mangled things..its my frustration release short of throwing tools and cussing up a storm over no fun repairwork!!! LOL!
Lovely swirly Daylily Blossom, nice colours! Sounds like you've had a heck of a day... Hope things get better soon.
Diana, good you found your Mum's old sugar bowl, it came in handy! Pretty arrangement, nice little groupings. Oh you love cleaning house too, NOT . LOL!
Spring will be here ......... sometime!!!!!
Thanks Terry!
Housecleaning.. um....definition please? New word to me.. I don't know what that is!! LOL. Im just the stablemate here. Wheelbarro and shovel...that I know...
I like the feather Zanymuse.
Blossombuddy: Our huge horse tank is frozen solid, even with a heater in it. The water line out to the barn burst somewhere under the driveway. Looks like a fountain bubbling up from under the gravel. Going to have to get a Ditch Witch here this summer. Oh joy!
Had to take over the bucket brigade this morning, DH is walking around like he's 100 yrs. old. One good thing, when the tank finally thaws it will be full to the brim. After that we'll have to start the hose dragging again. Do you think the beasts know how much we love them? I think our DD is coming out for the weekend. She can take over, after all it's her horse!
I think I'll just play on the computer again today and stay away from "father time" on the couch down stairs.
So sorry to hear about all the water lines breaking and freezing. Please don't hurt yourselves getting things accomplished. Just do everything in stages. It is supposed to warm some here tomorrow, hope you all experience some warmer temps your way as well.
Great jobs BTW on the arrangements, really like that feather as well!
pastime, You have been having a horrid time with the freezing! I sure hope it warms up soon. What is a ditch witch?
