One of the many restaurants in Havelock.
The boys finally arrive in Havelock!
This is what happens when you stay too long in the woods, it keeps getting darker and darker and it is snowing. There were five deer in the woods and I couldn't believe my luck. Bullwinkle went running as fast as his little legs would go, trying to catch up with the deer. He thought they might be relatives.
I was so disappointed with this picture.
After eating their bagels they talked with a beary good couple about gardening. They know quite a bit and got a few good tips from their new friends.
They are tucked into bed and Bullwinkle is snoring. Guess that moosoplasty didn't cure the snoring. I leave the night light on for them since they get scared of the dark.
It is the least I can do. I took precautions and hid the moosmallows in the locked car. I sure don't want Bullwinkle waking up with any more tummy aches.
Just a few more adventures and then they will be on their way to Perth.
Hugs Elaine, Dave, Otis. Bullwinkle and Ernie

Great photos, Elaine. Even the snow picture was pretty. The Demon Otis photo is a real winner though. Would make a good Halloween shot. The boys are getting their share of good clean fresh air in Havelock. Thanks for sharing their adventures. ^_^
Perth, will that be a long journey? Am sure you've packed enough for them as not to be hungry or cold...
Elaine, I'm just now catching up after the 'holiday' I had to take after the boys were with me - aren't they a handful? Phew.
I'm thoroughly enjoying all the pictures and the sites you are all visiting.
I'd recommend you book yourself a nice quiet get-away to rejuvenate after their visit. Just sayin'......
P.S. The winter-wear is just adorable!

Bettypauze - Perth is about 2 miles east of Havelock if my directional map in my head is correct. Will check with DH when he comes back from doing the rural mail route. He knows where the mail has to go before it gets to Perth. Sometimes it goes to Toronto first and then gets rerouted. Dumb, yes. But it is what it is.
This will be the last day that I spend with the gnomes and Bullwinkle. I made them a hardy breakfast of waffles and Canadian Bacon. I should have known better. Bullwinkle grabbed the maple syrup first and he emptied the entire bottle. I looked over and he was taking the last swig of it right out of the bottle. Thanks goodness I had some Pancake syrup in the fridge. Not the real thing though.
I mentioned to the boys that this was their last day with me and I have planned a special dinner for them tonight. It took me an hour to find Bullwinkle after I told them the menu for tonight. He bolted and hid when he heard we are having chocolate mousse for dessert. I retrieved his trembling little body from underneath the bed and had to explain that it was just a silly name for a dessert and that there was no actual Moose in it. I had to show him the ingredients before he could stop stammering and shaking. Guess I should have thought before I spoke.
Poor guy. Now the gnomes are teasing him about the chocolate mousse.
I think I may have to go on a retreat after the fellas leave here. They sure are keeping me on my toes. I have grown to love them all and will miss them but I know that I have a few more gray hairs in my head courtesy of their antics. They are definitely not boring.
They were watching cartoons in their bedroom and apparently they found Rocky and Bullwinkle. Bullwinkle grabbed a video tape and stuck it in to record the cartoon.
The gnomes left after watching it for the third time. Bullwinkle just keeps watching it and hitting rewind then play. I wish you could hear the giggling coming from that room. He sure bounced back quickly after the mousse episode. He is such a character!
I continued this thread over here - http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/927841/ I was concerned that people with dial-up couldn't enjoy the gnomes last day.
Hugs Elaine and Otis

there's nothing quite so amusing as a moose giggling!
AW - those winter duds are so cute.
Looks like the boys had a good time, and sounds as if they likely got fat too - hope you left generous seams in those coats . . .
