Hi everyone!

Well the lads are here^_^. They needed a rest after their long trip and they whined and whined the entire time they were in the car. A nice cup of hot chocolate and they have been tucked into bed until tomorrow, I hope.

They will be doing the town with me this week and I will get lots of pics so you can share in their adventures. I made them hats, earmuffs and scarves. I have to resize the hats because I expected them to be a bit bigger. I'm sure they make up for their small size with adventure and attitude.

I almost forgot to mention that poor Bullwinkle has an injury to his left eye and cheek he'll be seeing our top-notch Moose ophthalmologist and perhaps a plastic surgeon. Not to worry. I have still have some connections that I will use when drastic measures need to be taken. A button has come loose from one of the capes as well and poor Dave needs some repair to his hat that he arrived with.

So we will have to visit the tailor as well. It should be a busy day tomorrow and we may have some extra work done to their capes and downsizing their hats that I made to protect them from the cold. The tailor may be a bit busy but I'm sure they can be fitted into his schedule since they are special guests! Boy, oh boy. I'm tired just thinking about it. Better rest up.
Stay tuned................................................................

Hi Elaine,

The button may not have come loose. For Dave, all I had time to do was a Poncho - circle with a hole for the head and I stuck an extra button into the box. Looks like they are in good hands and I look forward to their adventures.

Well, I never realized just how tired I was yesterday until I had a morning chat with the lads. Bullwinkle does not have a problem with his eye. It is his nostril, for goodness sakes. I had to cancel the ophthalmologist and make an appointment with an ENT (ear, nose and throat) specialist. The plastic surgeon will step in once the ENT has done his assessment and see what he can do.

The ENT is backlogged right now. I finally connected with an ENT that specializes in mooses. Apparently, he is busy with 8 reindeer right now. They all need their yearly physicals and have all kinds of tests to be done before they are cleared to fly on the eve of Dec. 24. Some chubby guy in a red and white suit apparently has more clout than I do and poor Bullwinkle has to wait. Who knew that moose ENTs also specialize in reindeer?. Sure didn't see that coming.

The fellas were happy to stay in and have lunch with DH while Otis and I went to the woods for his run. I guess there was a great deal of male bonding going on while Otis and I were gone. They will tuck into a hardy dinner tonight since DH bought steaks to BBQ. A little bit of snow is not going to keep him from barbecuing the steaks.

The lads are excited that they have a television in their room and were looking at the scheduled programs for tonight. I told them they could watch whatever they want and Bullwinkle asked for popcorn later this evening so I guess I'll have to comply. The boys will have to stop bickering over what programs they will be watching. I may have to step in and make them draw straws.

Since tomorrow looks like the two doctors for Bullwinkle and the tailor for some much needed repairs to their winter wardrobe, it will be a busy day.

I will keep you posted and promise to share some pics once we get all the little problems sorted out. I guess I can't blame poor Bullwinkle for snoring since he does have a real problems with one of his nostrils.

More to come tomorrow...........................................................................

their personalities are blooming, for sure!

Can't begin to tell you how much I'm enjoying their adventures......

Havelock, Canada

Hey driven - Your next. Get ready. I'll let you know when they get restless and have seen enough of hickville. Perth is going to look like a very big and happening place after being in Havelock. tee hee.

Better get going to those appointments today,

Hugs Elaine and Otis

Perth,, ON(Zone 5a)

I'll plan an itinerary for them......

looking forward to their visit!

Well the doctors appointments went very well. Bullwinkle had extensive work to both of his nostrils. There is still some swelling but he can't stop looking in the mirror and admiring his new look. He still snores but the doctor said that once the swelling goes down, he probably won't snore anymore.

I don't think I'll ever get all the feathers out of their room! Those stinkers had a pillow fight and when I came in to see what all the giggling was about there were feathers everywhere. Dave and Ernie (he insisted on calling himself that) blamed it all on Bullwinkle. Hmmmmm?????

The tailor got some work done but the coats and hats still need some tweaking. I will post a picture of their earmuffs and their scarves later today if I can get DH to downsize the pictures. His area of expertise, not mine.

I know that all of you are anticipating pictures and I apologize that I haven't been able to post any as of yet.

We are off to Campbellford for a trip to the vet for Otis. Bullwinkle actually enjoyed Otis carrying him around in his mouth but I was worried. Bullwinkle needs to stay closer to me since Otis has a deep-seeded desire to see what is inside Bullwinkle and will stop at nothing to find out.

Be back later...........................................

Well we finally got some pictures taken. I'll tease you with a few and then show the rest tomorrow. Actually, I have a monster headache but felt that I should share a few pictures of our day.

First - here are the fellas chatting with some friends in the kitchen.

Here is Bullwinkle with his new nose job (moosoplasty) and a bit of his winter gear.

The capes and the hats are still at the tailor's shop and I couldn't find all two of the scarves that I had made so I had to improvise.

We went to Campbellford today. It is about 10 miles due south of us. Otis had a vet appointment. My baby weighs 88.6 lbs and his first birthday is on Saturday. He won't be full grown until he is 18 months old.

Here we are at the Trent Severn lock system. That Bullwinkle is quite a daredevil.

Here we are on the east side of the Trent Severn waterway. The fellas thought they found a great spot for a picture.

Otis and I decided to jump in and have our picture taken with the lads

I'll post more pics tomorrow of our afternoon in Campbellford. Still have some great pics from today.

The fellas are fighting over the videos. The television in their room has a VCR in it and they are bickering over the movies we have. Looks like another drawing straws night and I'll be starting the popcorn and hot chocolate very soon. The sure are enjoying themselves.

Better go since I heard Dave say he was going to pop Bullwinkle in his new nose job if he won't give in to Dave's choice of movies. Gotta go and settle this before someone gets hurt.

More tomorrow.............................................................................................

Cool shots of the Twoonie. Just love the fellas' scarves and earmuffs. ^_^

Nice to see the banner is still going. That originated with the snow fort they built here in Ottawa. Love the scarves and ear muffs. Interesting about the twoonie.

Same spot again. I like to visit that spot in the summer with my DD2 for a Tim Horton's coffee and some "girl time". Looks cold doesn't it. So glad I grabbed Bullwinkle before he jumped right in.

I have to post these pictures since DH decided to have a bit of fun with his photo skills. Boy oh boy. Looks like the lads have grown. LOL
