Now that's why I said "general feeling". There seems to be no solid data (that I've ever seen) to back up the 9 month thing, just hearsay, repeated and repeated. Seeds are a wonderful thing. Dryland penstemon seed germination rates actually get better with age.
This has nothing to do with seed, but I am still quite intrigued by the desert shrimp eggs that can last decades with no water...
