My favorite time of year

Fox River Valley Are, WI(Zone 5a)

Impressive.

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

I just love that story pard. Lily seed that won't give up ;)

Saint Bonifacius, MN(Zone 4a)

Now that's why I said "general feeling". There seems to be no solid data (that I've ever seen) to back up the 9 month thing, just hearsay, repeated and repeated. Seeds are a wonderful thing. Dryland penstemon seed germination rates actually get better with age.

This has nothing to do with seed, but I am still quite intrigued by the desert shrimp eggs that can last decades with no water...
"The eggs have to dry out completely before being submerged in water again in order to successfully hatch; they may remain in a state of diapause for up to 20 years."
