Co-op forum temporarily open again

I have re-opened the co-op forum and you are welcome to continue using it under the rules we have had in place.

We (admins and the membership at large) are obviously still working out what the long term solution will be to co-ops but in the meantime, by all means, continue to enjoy your use of the feature.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR REOPENING THE CO-OP FORUM!!! I for one really appreciate it and that you understood how much some of us enjoy it. And now I am off to try to encourage the little brug babies I got from the last co-op to be good little plants and form some roots ------------ :^)

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Please notice the word "TEMPORARILY" at the top of this forum and take it seriously.

Yippee! Thanks Dave!

I hope everyone involved in the Co-Op's ... host's, hostesse's, and buyers can behave themselves so that Admin. doesn't have to step in and shut them down for good. I know with all the brainstorming going on, solutions will be found so that co-ops can be run in a professional manner for us all.

I had removed the Co-Op forum from my "watch" list, thinking it was no more ... I'm watching again! I'm pretty new to co-opping (^_^ is that a word?) and love getting good deals on plants and supplies!

Thanks again Dave!

Cool, thanks Dave!

Adamstown, MD(Zone 6b)

Thank you! How about putting starlight's words right across the top of the coop page. And maybe also at the beginning of every coop thread?

OC, CA & Twin Lakes , IA(Zone 4b)

OK now . . . everybody play nice.

Looking at number of "views" on those threads - probably a lot of silent eyes-just watching - no need to post if nothing to contribute - but we DO care.

Would there be a way to deal with people new to Co-Ops (if there is any way of knowing that) so they can be guided on participation in them. I get frustrated when people don't read thoroughly the first few posts but can't complain because I did it myself a couple of times!

Could be wrong but believe that those who have been in many Co-Ops over the years are probably not the ones causing the problems . . would expect it to be newer people who mainly just don't understand how our "Garden" works.

Nothings wrong with the way the Co-Ops are set-up from the website's policies right on down to when neat things are delivered to my door - no need to re-invent the wheel.

Do feel badly to lose good venders just because they love being part of the DG family as well.

Thank-you

Thank you so much!!!
That means a lot to gardening hobbyists like me that profits from the huge savings that only co-ops offer.
Thank you again!!

I don't think the problems have just been about bugging dave with d-mail complaints ... from what I've read there has been arguing and nastiness between co-op participants, making it not so enjoyable for others on the threads.

We all need to de-bug ourselves and play nice. ^_^

Thank you Dave!

Thank You!

Dave,
Thankyou very much.
This is the only way that I can have the opportunity to add to my garden the many beauties which are otherwise way out of my financial stratosphere.
Wing waves of joy to you,
Sheri

Northwest, MO(Zone 5a)

I have been one of the silent ones.....My gardens are what they are because of the coops from Dave's Garden.

Thank you so very much for thinking of your members Dave and the loss we were feeling.

Will there be sticky or a paragraph at the top of the forum with the rules?
I hope the co ops can continue in some form or other.

(Zone 1)

There are lots of folks brainstorming to try and improve and make Co-Op's better for all.

Here's the thread where they are getting input on fixing the co-op forum: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/922686/

and a thread about alternatives to co-op's: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/921953/
