I almost was tempted to post a "ditty" as I thought I was on the
"Poetry on the Pile" Thread".... If I remember--it is on the "Soil and Composting" Thread...
Go see it!
That is a really good one......but--not too active.....Have to keep jarring it's "bones".....
I used to try to reactivate it with short "ditties".....
Like this one:
Rain, rain go away
You have turned my yard to clay
Puddles here and puddles there
No dry land-- anywhere!
My lawn is all soaked and wet
No air will the grass roots get!
There are puddles everywhere
By now--I really do not care!
Bulbs are sprouting--Oh--"Whoopee"!
But there's nothing else to see....
The soil issoaked--as are my shoes,
That is just how Spring here goes.....

A few other sayings I like
"Leave room in your garden for Angels to dance" also have seen it with 'Fairies" instead of angels.
"A garden is filled with the music of life"
"I tried, but it died."
"Lifes short, garden naked."
"A garden is not a matter of life and death....it's much more important than that!"
and this last one...there are a whole series of them but this is one of my favs!
Good one Gita
Love those Pixie.
Thanks for starting my day off with a laugh, ladies.....all great!
LOL
I love the kids as weed pickers, one
There's a sign in my vet's office......children who wander in the waiting room will be sent home with a puppy.....
And trained??
My favorite sign I have ever seen in a an office--somewhere-- was
a picture of a shady, woodsy undergrowth--all covered with moss and leaves
under some evergreen or shrub..and there was this SINGLE plant blooming
under there.....Like--just one bloom!
The caption read:-----"Bloom Where You Are Planted"......>/b>
Now--for the psychologically minded--like me--it really struck home.
There can be sooooo many interpretations of this......Just think......
I have never forgotten it.......

It's good advice.....sometimes we focus on the negatives, but we need to remember what we have......
